Call your local YMCA or the Jewish Community Center. My son is taking lessons at the JCC and loves it!

You could also try calling local health and fitness centers that have pools. While they may not offer lessons, very often the lifeguard on duty either does lessons somewhere or will know someone who does!

Check the local park and rec centers. Also, our neighborhood has a community pool and lessons are offered there. THe country club offers them as well.

Hugh Smith Recreation center in Arlington. This pool is indoors and my girls are enjoying classes now. Emler swim school also does swim lessons in the summer at the Maverick Club in Arlington (outdoor pool). Any YMCA.

Not sure what part of Fort Worth/ Arlington you're in, but if you're on the northern half you might want to check out lessons at the City of Hurst. We've done them for several years, they're very inexpensive and the quality is high. For a 1YO it would be a Parent and Tot class- we had so much fun with those!
