We go to the British Swim School in Sunrise. The pool is indoors and heated, so they have class no matter the weather. My son has been going since he was 3 months old. The only downside is that it is a little expensive, $72 a month for one class per week.

I'm taking my 8-month-old to the YMCA. We are not members yet, but we were able to sign him up for about $5 a class, which is much cheaper than the other programs I saw.
Also, check your community pool or local swim team. Lots of high school competition swimmers offer their services during the summer to teach kids how to swim. They teach either at a local pool or their personal pool, and it is one-on-one and it's inexpensive.

Try Fort Lauderdale Aquatics. Great location, great facility with a shaded heated pool. Teachers are wonderful and well worth the money. Plenty of parking.

Aqua Champs in Wilton Manors is incredible. Google them on line and check out their private and group lessons.

I have the name of a swim instructor for you. He does group lessons or private lessons. He works in weston and he is unbelievable with kids. My 2 boys went to him and I will probably be going to him again shortly with him youngest one again really soon. He is an amazing teacher, my boys picked it up really quickly with him. He is really patient and the kids love him. His name is Ted Hanophy and his number is ###-###-####. If you call him tell him that S. S. gave his name to you.

Good luck.

Have you tried the YMCA in Weston? Also, Memorial West Hospital has swimming lessons for a reasonable price. Maybe other hospitals in your area offer the same thing?
