Im 37 yo & I want to clear up my face of all the light freckles & spots. After 3 pregnancies my skin seems to have changed. My esthetician recommended a glycolic peel but Im not sure i want to put acid on my face. Ive heard of photofacials but dont know much about them. Anybody out there do anything to make their face look better...laser, photofacials, etc. All comments, positive or negative, welcome!

Google Microderm. My dermatologist recommended it and I'm getting my first 6/2 so I don't have any personal details, but read up on it. Good luck.

Nicole,
Please, please, please, DON'T subject your skin to a chemical peel! You don't have to do that to clear up your face.

Airborne and Shaklee are great companies with great products. I am going to give you another one. Go to: www.NuSkin.com/corp/product/index.shtml
Then, click on: Nu Skin® Tri-Phasic White® System
You'll find out how the brown spots happen and how the Tri-Phasic White system counters the process. If you like what you see, then contact me so that I can get you some cheaper prices than what you will see on the website.

I understand what you mean about the brown spots that appear after pregnancy. However, don't worry about your freckles. They are pretty on anyone's face and I am sure that they add to your beauty, too. :-)

I have had success with Shaklee C&E Time Repair. I can e-mail you over some PDF testimonies also if you'd like. I had a red blood spot, not sure what it is really called. But it was a red dot on my neck and after about a month or two with one applcation a day, it is completely gone. It has helped people with precancer spots as well as age and sun spots. It is actually a night repair moisturizer.

My husband and I are distributros of this 52-year old natural health and wellness company. If you want more information, let me know.

I have had a glycolic facial and it did make my skin look fab but you need to do them monthly to get maximum benefit. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist if you need more than just a bit of surface repair. They can do a deeper glycolic peel that does a great job of handling those post baby discoloration. I am considering one myself. Also, a friend who is a plastic surgeon said that presecription strength retin a cream could be great too!

Good luck!

Nicole,

Instead of trying expensive peels done at spas, buy the Olay microdermabrasion and peel kit. It is about $23 and will last you months. I use it every three nights and it has cleared up my skin tremendously. It is a microdermabrasion in step one and a light peel in step 2. It will not harm your skin or turn it red in anyway.

Good luck

HONEST ARBONNE ANSWER!

I do agree that there is a much more gentle route. I too have used and LOVED the arbonne RE9 products. They are botanically based, gentle and provide truly amazing results.

But PLEEEEAAASE do not pay full price. For $29 you become "a consultant" and are eligible to buy at wholesale prices. And with your first order of over $100 the company gives you a free product (the night cream is the most expensive).

I really recommend the whole RE9 Set Special. The Serum works on the facial spots. And the Enzyme Peel is used at night as a lotion. Easy, no wait. You just wake up and wash your face.

The people I have found to be the most honest about the company are at www.ForTheCause.net.

Nicole, I first want to say, don't try to get rid of your freckles!!! I have freckles and my husband LOVES my freckles. My uncle told me one time when I was little that one freckle is a sign of beauty and I have a lot of freckles all over my face and my husband thinks I am beautiful. PLEASE don't hate your freckles and come to love them because God created it for you thinking you look beautiful in freckles and if any of your children ever grow up with freckles, they will begin to hate them too and won't see anything beautiful or handsome about themselves. About clearing up spots, I don't know much about glycolic peels or photofacial, or any of the produts out there, but PLEASE be extra careful and do research and studies and read the ingredients in those products because there are alot of ingredients that have been known to cause cancer. Having lasers and acids are soooo dangerous and please be extra, extra careful. Let me ask my mother in law and see what she was using from our company that helped with the spots on her. I know that I have used their skin care products and were remarkable! My husband used the products when shaving and his face was clean and so soft, soft as the baby's bottom. I'll get back to you about the product, okay? God bless your and your family!!

Hi Nicole, Have you ever heard of Arbonne International? It's a home-based business with the best products I've ever used. They are all botanically based and made without anything harmful. It helped me with some brown (age) spots on my face. I can give you a sample to try it you like. I'm in the business and have been using these products for 3 years before I started to sell them. I am also a stay at home M. with a 10 and 12 year old. I'm also an RN and know what some of these treatments contain. Contact me if you'd like to give them a try. I'm with you I'd rather not use chemicals. Good luck and let me know if you want to try them. No obligation.

I used to get glycolic peels and my face looked great! I did the alpha/beta peels and I would go every 2 weeks. I soooo wish I could do it again but I just can't spend that money now.

Oh Nicole,

Please don't go such a harsh route. Arbonne has a product line called the RE9 and while it isn't cheap, it is fairly priced for all the products you get plus you can get it for less than the price on my site. I have had customers who go for facials every month come back and say their esthesticians wanted to know what they were using because they saw such improvement in their skin under their equipment even in 2 weeks!

There is another product they use that is like a chemical peel but more natural and MUCH less harsh and it does the same thing as the harsh ones!

Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you. It has helped my one friend who had scars from acne!! Her skin is beautiful now.
