Travel on Air with a 3Month Old Infant.

I'm going to travel a 24-hour flight (South Carolina USA -to- Philippines) when my baby is going to be 3 months old... Q1: What are the things should I bring for my baby during the flight? Q2: What tips would you like to give me, because my baby is my first one and I have no idea what to do during the flight and I am traveling alone (and also I live alone), kinda stressed about what to do and things not to do so the baby will be safe on the flight and couldn't bother anyone else inside the plane... Q3: About the documents, please help me...

Seeking Othere Stay at Homes Moms Feeling Lonely and Depressed

Ok I dont mean to sound like Im not thankful for being able to stay home with my kids. Im feeling so depressed and lonely. I have a loving husband that is very busy and has alot of friends and things going on. I feel like all I do is cook, clean the house and drive kids around and hand out money. I feel like an invisable Mother and wife, I know I am loved. I never seem to do enough or do things right. I have no sex drive period ( I never feel sexy any more ) I have worked for 18 years and stoped working about 2 years ago, so I could be...

24 Hour Potty Training?

My daughter is almost 2 1/2 and when I put her on the potty she usually does go but never tells me in advance that she has to go. I have heard about a 24 hour potty training that is awesome and I am willing to try it if it works! Does anyone have experience with it or could provide any other good resources?

Not Producing Enough Milk for 3 Week Old Infant- Supplement?

My 3 week old infant has a huge appetite. My milk supply is in and he eats everything that I produce plus what I pump but at certain times of the day he's still super hungry. (So far he's gaining weight with no problem). We've been supplementing with an additional 2 oz of formula 1 to 2 times a day but I'm wondering if this is the best approach- should we try to hold him off instead to wait for breastmilk to replenish? Will this have an adverse effect on my supply? I pump between some of the feedings (not all); he doesn't seem to have...

YMCA Or 24 Hour Fitness

I am looking to join a gym and wanted other mommy's opinions before I take the plunge. I am considering either Northpark YMCA or the 24 Hour Fitness in Keller with the kids club. I need some place that I am able to drop the kids off while I work out. Price is somewhat of a factor, but I will pay more for the nicer, cleaner kids area. Any thoughts?

Any Ideas to Lower High Doctor Bills - for the Middle Class Family?

We have insurance, and yes, I consider myself lucky. Problem is, my bills from the doctors are pretty substantial, albeit, perhaps substantial is a relative term. Now, I'm not talking about 'hospital' care. I'm talking about trips to the specialists for my child's medical needs. I get the bill, and I think, "that procedure costs that much?!" So, we aren't indigent, but we are middle class, living paycheck to paycheck right now. My husband was out of work for several months last year, so we are still trying to catch-up, financially. ...

Looking for a Pediatrician Who Has 24 Hour Advice Nurse

My family recently moved here from out of the state and we are looking for a pediatrician's office that offers a 24 hour advice nurse. Our pediatrician back home had this and we used it ALL the time with our first child. I am now expecting a new baby and am looking for a similar service out here. Any recommendations? I called KidCare and they charge $25 per call. Cooks and Baylor say they do not have anything like this. We live in Keller and are willing to drive a fair distance to get the service we are looking for. I'm looking for a...

24 Hour Fitness/Planet Fitness

Does anyone belong to either of these clubs off 135th Street in OP/Olathe? I'm looking to downsize our gym bill and really don't need the frills of my current gym, Prarie Life. These are both close and offer a good savings. Would you recommend?

My Son Has a Canker Sore and a Rash. What Is It?

My 2.5 year old has a pretty nasty canker sore on his tongue and doesn't want to eat or drink anything. He also has a yeast infection in his diaper area. I have some leftover prescription cream called Nystatin from his last yeast infection which was about 6 months ago. I've been using that until I take him to the Dr. In addition to the canker sore and rash he also has one blister next to his big toe. I'm not sure if all of these symptoms are related or not. I'm going to call in the morning and take him to the Dr but I'm so worried I can't...

How to handle fever after shots on infant?

I am a first time mother with a four month old. He had his second round of shots yesterday and did great all day. I gave tylenol every 4 hours until bedtime and then this morning he had 101 fever. I thought you weren't supposed to give more than 5 doses over a 24 hour period? I went ahead and have him some but I am not sure what to do!

Child Not Meeting Milestones

Hello everyone, I am in a tricky situation. I am a mom of three kids, ages, 12, 10 and 5. I have been running a daycare out of my home for almost 10 years. I was always that girl who loved kids. I started babysitting as a teenager and I have probably cared for almost 100 kids over the last 25 years. I think I can say, I have seen almost everything. Here is the situation I am in now. In my home daycare I am caring for a 15 month old. He is meeting his milestones way behind!!! he is not walking, doesn't communicate, doesn't...

Taking Back My Health Since I've Become a Mom 9 Yrs Ago...

I need some advice: I'm only 44 but feel 60 and I want to start being healthy again. I have started riding my bike but I'm sensitive to the sun, I think, as I get migraines after riding and after gardening in the community gardens. These activities are my most favorite things to do, but then I'm shut down by these darn migraines....My prescriptions are very costly and I can only get so much per month. I have lost 5 #s in the last 2 months, but I feel I need to gain some control of the family diet, like the "white stuff" my kids harp for. I...
