What Is the Best Phone Protector for an Iphone 4S?

The OtterBox is hands down the best protector of phones out there. I've had my iPhone for 2+ years with an OtterBox. I work at an animal hospital and have 2 small children so I'm running everywhere all day long. I've dropped my phone numerous times, had 100 lb dogs step on it and no cracks, breaks, or damages. It is mildly water resistant (NOT WATERPROOF) and is rated to fall from 20 feet and not damage the phone. I wouldn't try a different protector at all. It is kinda bulky but I'm all over that if it gives me the protection I need for my work and lifestyle.

I have a Speck cover... the all in one.. NOT the 2 piece. The 2 piece protector broke on me.. I prefer the softer Speck one.

I have an Otter Box which is supposedly the safest but it is bulky and Ihate it because it makes the phone so much bigger. I like to be able to safely slip my phone in my pocket.

I second Lifeproof. I hate the otterbox. My lifeproof case is awesome!

LifeProof cases are the best! Way smaller then the otterbox and they are water proof.

I third the Lifeproof case. My 2 year old has literally thrown my iPhone 4S to the ground and it remains uninjured. It's so good, that most of the family has one too and it has protected both my dad and stepmother's phones from the ocean. Also bought the Lifeproof case for my iPad ... he plays with it to and without the case, we'd have had to replace the screen multiple times already.

It is my understanding that otterboxes (the defender) is the best. But I felt like they were too bulky for me, when I looked at them. I went with an otterbox version I found online, called (I think) the commuter. It has the 2 piece frame wrap thingee, and comes with a stick on screen protector. So, while it isn't waterproof, it is water resistant, and has lots of shock absorbing going on. It is still small enough to handle easily and slip in and out of my purse or pocket (unlike the full size Defender case they make).

Love it so far. Have been using it about a month. I think it was like $17 online, too, way better than the $55 the defender costs.

Friends have the Otterbox, Zagg or CaseCrown cases and all are happy with them. I bought myself a Zagg screen cover but I am using a generic case (HTC phone, not iPhone).

Absolutely the Otterbox Defender, with the Otterbox Commuter a close second. We have 4 iphones and all use these cases. One was dropped from a three story scaffolding and only the case had a small scratch. The phone was untouched. That's just one of many examples of how this case has saved us. A friend actually dropped his iPhone in the street and had a car run it over. The Otterbox saved the phone from any damage. And, best of all they are under $20 on Amazon!!!

Otterbox has the most coverage against getting wet and it's rubbery so if you drop it, the phone and screen will probably not break. It covers both the front screen as well as the rest of the phone.

Otter box! Too bulky for me--I just have a bling-y cover but hubby had the Otterbox--his job requires it to be indestructible!

I have a speck cover and I love it! It doesn't add any weight and the phone is easier to hold with the cover. I think my husband ordered it online (it was a Christmas gift). Definitely worth it!

I don't know the brand, but my husband got it at Verizon store. It is a hard case that fits over the phone, but it's so small and thin that it doesn't look like there is a case over the phone. He dropped it in the toilet and it still works. He did the usual take phone apart and put battery in rice, but we dropped a regular phone and a blackberry into toilets and bathtubs and didn't have the same results. We lost both phones. The iPhone was working immediately. We only did the rice thing to be extra careful.

I have the most expensive otter box. It is bulky, but I am overly cautious about everything, so this best fit my needs.
