Hey. Quick question for everyone. My husband and I decided to start trying for our third baby a couple months ago. My had no problem getting pregnant with our first two. Well go figure now I have been spotting for over a week after my period. The spotting is very light so we have still been trying. I just had a pap done at the doctors a few weeks ago that came out normal so I know it's nothing serious. My doctor said it could be from quitting my birth control five months ago. But I haven't had a problem until now. Anyways I am wondering if any of you moms have experianced spotting like this while you where trying to get pregnant and if you were able to. I look forward to hearing all your comments. Thanks!

I'm trying to get pregnant too and have recently noticed my mid cycle spotting. Some people have mid cycle bleeding right before they ovulate. Google "breakthrough spotting" and see if it sounds right to you. I was all worried about it and then timed it with my ovulation tracker and realized it was a bonus "this would be a good time to try" clue. :)

Good luck!!!

We're trying as well (#3) and went into this without regular periods (they've been all over the place while I was on the pill), but I've been keeping track of things and have had several days in a row of spotting in addition to longer, heavier cycles. I doubt it is from quitting the birth control directly, but your body could be adjusting to regulating itself. Any spotting is generally considered normal, even in early pregnancy, unless it becomes heavy. If you have a positive test and continue to spot, call your doctor. Is it all the time or only occassionally? I've also had what seemed like spotting but was just some light bleeding following intercourse (not painful, but probably from dryness). If it seems related to that, try some extra lubrication. Sometimes I would just notice it in the morning or something. We also had no trouble with our first two, so will see how long this one takes. Hope it clears up soon.
