I've had problems in FireFox lately and it drove me crazy. I figured maybe mamapedia had javascript in the background that was loading...and loading...but then I realized that every time the browser froze, it was after one of those pen ads (sometimes I can hear it if I can't see it yet). No pen ad - everything is fine. I asked them about it, but I am also curious if anyone else is having issues. Are the pen ads messing you up?
The pen ads on Mamapedia are so very annoying. I don't get them on any other site with Firefox, just this one. Once they start, I can't get them to stop without leaving this site. So, I just leave Mamapedia and go to other places. I wonder if it is worth the $ that Mamapedia gets if the ads cause people to just leave.
I hate the pen ads because of the stupid noise it makes! but other than that I'm not having any other problem. I just have to remember to turn off the volume. It's an ANNOYANCE for sure.
They are not messing up my computer but they are ANNOYING!
Yes, me too - plus the wooshing sound is annoying.
I've been using Chrome lately because so many web sites seem to be updating their scripts for Chrome. ::sigh::
But on both Firefox and Chrome I have AdBlock Plus. I don't get those pesky ads. I can also selectively block images and other things as well. It's free.

Huh - I don't see the pen ad. I'm using safari.
I haven't noticed any problem, but my kids love those ads. My daughter comes running when she hears them! lol

If you research it, this site has been known to DESTROY a computer... ask me how I know...

I was an avid Firefox fan for sooo long!
Then it turned out to be incompatible with my college's website... So I couldn't access my school e-mail, get into my message boards, or anything else I NEEDED to have access to...
THEN I started having issues with other random sites, getting popups about script errors and all sorts of freezing issues... I couldn't use MP at ALL, because every time I got to the page I would get message after message (layering one over the top of the other until I had about 5-6 on my page) warning me of script errors. I thought I had a virus or something. The computer guy I had come check out my computer told me that Firefox has been having issues lately with certain scripts... which sucks, because I really do like Firefox...
BUT... Now I use Google Chrome, and haven't had any issues since. :)

Seems to make mine very slow to respond to my commands.
I ffind that most of the ads on MP that have any kind of movement or sound mess up my computer.
Those pen ads are really annoying.
Not sure what a pen ad is but I have had a tonof mamapedia problems today. Sometimes I cannot open a question or cannot respond, or it takes forever to get my response to go through. THis morning I had to refresh over and over and over and still had problems.
My computer has been having issues with my computer running so slow today every time I am on this site. I am so sick of those ads already!
