The side effects of Alli scare me!!!! I have been losing weight the old fashioned way - Diet and Excercise (very little exercise). I started Weight Watchers in March and have lost 25 pounds so far. It is not a quick fix but it is definitely healthy and I don't have to worry about having a change of panties with me all the time!

Hello J.,

I am on it and have tried it when it was Xenical by RX only. What I am about to tell you it pretty personal and graphic, but I am being honest with the Ali pill.

It does work, but you have to be determined and actually do the diet (low-fat) or it won't work. It is great pill, but you CANNOT EAT ANY FAT or everything you eat has to be low in fat or you will be staining your undies all the time or having "flatuluance problems". When this happens, any speck of oil spot that you get on your undies may leak into your clothes, so be very careful and especially don't eat anything that you are not suppose to when you are not close to home. You will have oily and spotty stools as well. It is taking 25% of any fat that you eat at every meal, so at the beginning you will spend alot of time in the bathroom. I wear mini-pads anyway (long ones) and keep a pair of clean underwear and 3 to 4 mini-pads in my purse for "accidents" or side effects! You must watch you diet and really the only FREEBIES that you can eat where nothing will happen is FRUITS AND VEGESTABLES only!!

Go to the website at www.myali.com and it will explain alot to you, but I am telling you it is a great pill.

I am trying to lose another 25 pounds before my elective surgery in November, so this is helping me to watch what I put in my mouth and also working on my portion control.

Hope this helps. If you want more info...email me at ____@____.com

I have heard that it can really effects your digestive system. Not trying to be crude but I heard from my mother in law that when she tried it she had a lot of bad gas, had to go all the time. She said she felt like she could not go anywhere because of the diarrhea and that it would even come with her gas.

ok, i almost bought that stuff when it very first came out, but i was hesitant. i just takled to one of my neighbors last night. her doctor recommended she try it for weight loss. so she;s got it & is going to give it a try! although i don't know anyone who had taken it & what the result are, i find it interesting that apparently some doctors are recommending it.

J.,
I'm doing Alli and love it. The on-line support, nutrition log, menus etc are all very helpful. I have not had any problems. BUT if you don't fall the plan, I'm sure it would be a problem. However, if I know I can't avoid eating something high in fat, then I don't take the pill with that meal (like if I must go to some event where it's pizza, I have 2 slices and that's it, but don't take the pill). I still record the pizza etc on the plan and just pick up taking Alli on the next meal.

I've lost a few pounds and really like it. Costo/Sam's has the cheapest prices.

Hi J.,

I have not tried that one but I have had excellent results with this natural, organic weight loss and fat burning system. It is a natural detox and cleansing program. I have had amazing results and I have never felt better. I used to drink a lot of coffee and cokes and now I am compleely off of them and I feel fantastic. Several of my friends are doing this and it is awesome. Give me a call and I can give you the details. IT is called ISAGENIX.

watch the six minute video about are you toxic! it will shock you. I have a friend who tried the Ali one and she says it really upsets her stomach and she has to use the bathroom alot when she eats the wrong things. I do not know how natural it is? I would love to help you get on the right track and get healthy with us girls. We get together once a week to track our progress and support each other which really helps.

Thanks..hope to hear from you soon.

I'm sorry but I would NEVER take any weightloss supplement with a side effect that causes "anal leakage." I am really confused as to why so many people are so quick to try the latest and greatest weight loss drug when the only REAL solution is healthy eating and exercise.

My husband started using alli with his work-out and low fat diet plan. It has helped him lose about 1.5 lbs a week for the past two months. He is down 15 lbs now and he loves it. He will normally have a salad for lunch with a good dinner. We don't eat fried food anymore, but that is better for us all. I just started taking alli last week my self and I haven't noticed any strange side effects like the other comments have discribed, but we do stick to a low-fat diet plan like the one alli describes online and in the new user guide.
Good luck!
