Just curious how many stuck it out with their 1st/and or only Love. I met my husband when I was 13 and besides the year apart we took my Senior year we have been together ever since. (I'm 34 now) We have grown together and yes there has been hard times but not too many : ) I couldn't imagine my life with anyone else. He is a wonderful Daddy and Husband. I am very proud of the man he has become. Not braggin or anything lol

Yes, I did!

We shared a class when I was a sophomore and he was a junior, and started dating the following year. We got married the month after I graduated college. We just celebrated 20 years of marriage! He's my best friend.

Nope, my high school sweet heart was not good for me. He got in to lots of trouble and drugs. I stayed with him until the end of my senior year, when he went back to rehab. He had a great family, great church, and great friends. That was never enough for him. I did marry a guy that always loved me though. I just never knew at the time. My husband and sister were great friends. I always ignored him. I hated now who I was in school. I was the snobby b**ch that was in the "in crowd". I wish I could take back those years and be nicer to people! My husband and sister hung out with any and every one. He always told my sister he was going to marry me. I always laughed. 5 yrs after high school, he came to visit my sister. He had just joined the marines. I turned my life around (Gave my Life to God)and was no longer that nasty person I once was. He asked me to dinner. I accepted and have not been apart since! I love him with all of my heart! I wish I would have gave him a chance back then!

I married my high school sweetheart. We met at 16 and divocred at 26. I don't regret it. We grew up alot together. His mother helped raise me and we are still very close. The divorce was gut wrenching and terrible for both sides of the family because we were all so close, but now that we are past it, we're all a family again. We have all our holidays together and even though we've both moved on, we will always be connected. His sister remarked recently, isnt it funny that when anything happens in your life, the 1st person you call is always your exwife. The thing is, we are both VERY differant people now than we were in high school and if we met today, we wouldn't be attracted to each other or even probably notice each other.

I never had a high school sweetheart! lol.... But my husband was my one and only! I met him at a graduation party, he was such a sweet and respectful gentleman! I never dated only because I was more of a "tom boy" and then came along my amazing husband! But I got married REALLY young! And have been married going on 13 year's this August! I get alot of comments made about how young I was but felt he was the one...I was 16, a very mature 16 year old. My husband is a wonderful-loving man and a great father, a very hard worker and has always supported me in any descisions I have made including going back to college! I love him more and more as we continue to grow together! I LOVE this question!

Yes. Meet him in a Science class and married him a year after we graduated. We have been married 22 years. We still enjoy hanging out and doing things together and our oldest is starting college in the fall. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. He is my true love.

I met him my first day at our high school when I was a junior and he was a senior. We didn't start dating until after I graduated.

We both liked each other and had NO IDEA. He dated another girl that looked a LOT like me but they broke up shortly after she started college. We've been together ever since.

It's almost 25 years and I STILL get excited when I hear him pull into the driveway. He makes me laugh all the time and knows how to fix my car. Gotta love a guy like that!

I did! We met when we were 16, we're both 26 now and we have 2 kids. It's funny (and a little scary) to think back at how we were when we were teenagers and how much we've both matured over the years.

No, Thank God! The guy I was dating in high school was an emotionally abusive jack nut that nearly everyone that cared about me hated. However, my first love and I are still friends. In fact he is still best friends with my cousin and I see him sometimes at family functions. Which I guess is kinda weird, we even talked about if we had ended up married what it would be like, the decision was, probably not very good. LOL So I am glad I didn't marry either one of my highschool sweethearts!

I didn't have a high school sweetheart...a lot of guys that I would have LOVED to have dated, but I was always "the friend." I met my husband when I was a sophomore in college and we were engaged within 4 months. That was nearly 10 years ago.

Yes, we started going out in 11th grade. Dated for 6 1/2 years and then got married. We will be married for 15 years in a few weeks. He is the greatest! I did "date" (I use that term very loosely as I mainly talked on the phone and had my parents drop me off at the movies) a few other guys before meeting him, but after I met him I had eyes for no one else...

I married my 10 year old first love. In 5th grade, we took a school trip to Washington D.C., and we "went together". I remember he tried to put green jello down my shirt when we were out at a dinner somewhere. We listened to some music on his tape player on the bus ride, and that was us "going out". So through the next 8 years we were friendly, but we both had long term relationships in high school with other people. At 25, he emailed me via classmates.com to see how I was. About 3 weeks later, we had our first date, and I knew that night we would get married, and here we are 8 years later, with 2 children. Thank goodness for unanswered prayers. Had I married my high school BF, I would have a mess of a life. He currently has 4 daughters with 4 different women, and is known as the town scum.

No, and it's a good thing I didn't. Our lives took drastically different paths. Plus, he never knew the real me. (My own fault though.) I still care for him and consider him family and his family still considers me family, but I am beyond happy with my husband. :)
