Hello world! We are on a very tight budget right now and I need to switch diapers. We use huggies right now, but would like everyones opinion on the best absorbent off brand diaper we can buy? Our daughter has an over sized bladder and urinates excessively. So we need the off brand to get as many uses out of it as possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

We tried the Target brand and so far so good. She hadn't had a reaction but they trend to not stay sticky t o keep the diaper on. I think our next brand to try will be the Sams Club brand, which is the Kansas store that's like the Costco. So thank you all for the advice!

We always used Huggies with both my boys. But they sucked for my daughter, my third. She got horrible diaper rashes.
We use the Costco Kirkland brand and they are fantastic! Sizes over lap some so you can often go a size up to get some more absorbancy without them being too big to leak.
We like them because they don't smell like Pampers and a couple other brands so. I hate that smell! They aren't very expensive either.

Kirkland. (the Costco house brand) I found them more absorbent and a few cents cheaper per diaper than the target brand.

Costco's Kirkland diapers are huggies without the name on them :)

I know a lot of people that say the Kirkland diapers at Costco are awesome but I don't have a membership there so don't know myself. I turn to Target brand when I need to. I have also been using Luvs lately because they have been putting specials on the really big boxes.

Target brand or the Costco Kirkland brand. Kirkland wipes are the best out there too.

I LOVE Target Up and Up diapers. They are cheap and they don't smell, they have no problems with leaks and I have been able to use them on both boys and girls. I would definitely go with Target. I used to buy huggies and pampers but actually love Target UP and UP the best --so I buy those instead.

Two of our daughters used Costco diapers and they worked great. The twins went through so many diapers and our daughter found these to work great and not leak and they were a bit cheaper. These were the Kirkland brand.

fisher price

I used to do market research for off brands (they'd provide the diapers and i'd test and give opinions). I could never find the LUVS love. They leaked horribly for me. I started using the Fisher price diapers once I discovered them during the market research. They really are excellent.

I agree with Mom2Many. You'll probably have to try for yourself. I could not use off brand with my son, but with my daughter I can use Walmart, Kroger, and Walgreens brand. I've never tried the Target ones because we don't have a Target where we live. I think Walmart has small packages that you can "try" without having to buy a big package, but I'm not sure.

Good luck finding one that works best for you! :)

We have used Target diapers since we ran out of our diaper cake diapers and I realized that they are cheaper than Pampers or Huggies EVEN WITH coupons and the gift card deals. LOVE Target diapers!!! They even have the gift card deals once in a while (buy 2 boxes and get a $5 gift card)! Can't recommend Target diapers enough! :-)

I used Target and Luvs. We would only use pampers if we got them at SAMs club.

I have heard the Target brand diapers are good, but I personally have never bought them.

I've tried quite a few off brands...but haven't found one that's worth the discounted price. at least night for overnight wear. Luvs is a slightly cheaper name brand. otherwise Sam's Club has OK ones.

You're just going to have to try different brands, diapers are not one size fits all. What works for one may not work for another.

We use the Huggies Overnights because it is cheaper in the long run than all the laundry I would have to do if I didn't. But, I have also had a lot of really good luck with Cuddle-ups. These are at Winco and I've gotten them at little discount shops as well. Big Lots also has an off brand that is pretty good, but I can't remember the brand. But, really, for night time especially, the Huggies are the best.
