Apparently my LO hasn't decided to go head down and stay that way, now he's flipping around and it seems to be from a transverse position to a head down position back to transverse. He will push himself ALL the way over to my right side until I feel like I'm about vomit from discomfort. I'm hoping he'll settle down. My first son did a lot of kicking and punching, this one doesn't kick or punch nearly as much makes HUGE belly altering movements that make me feel like I can't take being pregnant anymore!

Did you have a gymnast baby?? I"m not worried, jut achey ALL over from this constant movement.

What can I do next?

YES, all 3 of mine, and I have a short torso, so baby could only go OUT, not up, talk about cramped space!

Get on all fours and arch your back like a cat, or head down, bottom up. The second position helps baby's head drop; both provide instant comfort to your guts :)

hahaha.....yup!

I could feel - and SEE - my 2nd and 3rd daughters flipping, twisting and basically testing the limits of my skin's elasticity.

Painful....but SO cool too!

YES!! My second kept getting bad non-stress tests because he would kick off the monitors! I had to talk nurses down several times :)
I second the all-fours suggestion, also get in a pool if you can, the weightlessness helps immensely!!

My son just felt like he was running a marathon all the time. My daughter did full on flips to where my stomach would change shapes. That felt really weird, like I had an alien in my belly or something ;) Just think, in only a month or so you won't have to worry about it anymore. And maybe you will be like me and actually miss being pregnant. Good Luck!

Odds are, because he is now filling up the available space, you're just feeling it more when he moves....
Hang in there!

I am 36 weeks pregnant with my second and I feel your pain, literally! My first kicked and punched non-stop until the very end, he was kicking me in the ribs when I was pushing. This one seems to be less about the kicking and punching and more about stretching out. She is head down and sometimes it feels like she is pushing with her hands on my hip and pushing with her feet against my ribs on the opposite side. I swear she's going to split me in half if she doesn't come out soon. I also have a short torso, I'm 5'2" and my legs are pretty close to regular sized, so that tells you how short my torso must be. And while the pushing is annoying sometimes I just count myself lucky that she hasn't broken anything. A friend of mine had a very active second child and her daughter broke one of her ribs when she was 5 months pregnant. Can you imagine being in that much pain, not really being able to take anything for it and still having to carry the baby around for 4 more months??
