HELP! I Have to Supplement My Milk with Some Formula- My Worst Nightmare!!!

Hey Mamas, I have been strictly nursing my lil'man and he is now 9 1/2 months. He takes plenty of jar food and cereal in addition. My milk supply has dramatically decreased and I spoke with the doctor about it and i need to start supplementing with Formula. I have been against formula from the beginning and still am, but for his nutrition and development it seems as if I have to give in and use it for a couple months until he turns one and can have whole milk. 4 Month Old Won't Take a Bottle- Help!!

My 4-month old has been almost exclusively breastfed since birth. Up until she was about a month old, we started giving bottles (of breastmilk and an occasional few ounces of formula). She took bottles then with no problem. However, at about 2 months she began rejecting bottles and will settle for nothing but the real thing! We have been practicing with her for going on two months now with every bottle and nipple imaginable, but without much luck. I returned to work 2 days ago and she has not eaten ANYTHING for the sitter. I go and...

Breastmilk Producing Gas

My son and I are having problems with gas. First, let me give a little background about our situation: My son was born tongue-tied, which wasn't a big deal except it caused latching problems, so we did a lot of different things to develop his muscles. In the meantime, he received formula at the hospital. We worked with 4 different lactation consultants, tried a variety of things, worked very hard, and finally realized that latching wasn't our thing. I thought he was latching, was in agony, and found out after 3 weeks that he never...

Going from Nursing to Formula at Six Months

Hi Ladies, I have had to come to a decision that has been really hard but I need to start taking medicine. So I am looking for advice on a good formula that will help with the transition for my little one. She is six months and I have the Enfamil pouches. I have always given her a bottle of breast milk and nursed so she is not afraid of taking a bottle at all. I was warned by my mom from her experiences so we have that covered. I just need to find a good formula. What have you turned to that has been a good transition from nursing...
