Cold Medicines While Pregnant

I just called my doctor about what I can take while sick and pregnant. I've gotten so many different answers from people that I'm not sure who I beleive. My girlfriend said she was told anything Tylenol and she took Tylenol Cold and Flu. When I asked my nurse, she said yes, anything Tylenol but not cold and flu. Nothing with pseodophedrine in it. Morning sickness?....more like ALL DAY SICKNESS!!

I am about 6.5 weeks pregnant with my second pregnancy, and I am so nauseated. I never felt this way with my first pregnancy. It's "all day" nausea and it leaves me feeling like I can't get anything done. To make matters worse I am trying to take care of my 2 year old son and keep up with the house work, but all I find myself doing is laying down trying to keep from throwing up. This is a horrible feeling. Does this get better as the weeks go on, or do I have to feel this way the whole first trimester? Any suggestions on what to eat...
