Solid Food Advice

Hi, I am a mom to twin 6 month olds and we have just begun solid foods after being exclusively breastfed. My son is a champ and loves anything I give him, however I am having problems with my daughter. She cries and screams anytime I try to feed her solid foods, basically just refusing to eat; then when I pick her up she roots and roots to be nursed because she is hungry. The Dr. told me to make sure to feed her real food but it's just been a battle. Has this happened to anyone? Can you tell me how to get her to eat and not rely on...

Neocate or Nutramigen?

My daughter has been exclusively breastfed for six months. However, I am 8 weeks pregnant again and I am having a hard time meeting her demands. I feed her five to six times a day but at night she is just not satisfied with just me. My milk production is not what it used to be. My daughter's pediatrician said it probably isn't a good idea to take fenugreek while I am pregnant so I have to figure out how to supplement her. She usually wants an extra 4-6 ounces in the evening. Sometimes i am able to pump a little extra in the morning and give...

Any Other Moms Have Babies on Nutramigen with Rice Cereal and Zantac?

My 4 month old baby girl has has acid reflux since she was born. We tried all sorts of things but what seemed to work was the combination of Zantac twice a day and Nutramigen. She was eating like a champ 24-30 oz a day (4-6oz at each feeding) every 3 hours. She rarely spit up. It's probably just coincidence but I took her into the dr for her 4 month check up last week and she got a round of shots. The next day she threw up her bottle and ever since then she hasn't eaten the same. She sometimes won't eat and she is spitting up more. I...

Extremely Fussy Eater

Hi.... I have a now 2 month old. He has been diagnosised with GERD/reflex and is on zantac for the heartburn. My concern is that up until recently, he has done fairly well since he's been diagnoses and put on the medication. Now it seems that everytime he wants to eat he is fussy and very upset. He wants to eat but acts like he is in pain. I do breatfeed and supplement with the bottle (with formula). When he gets into one of these fussy periods, he does not latch on well (and cries and gets frustrated) and then he also does not want...

Nutramigen Ready to Feed or Powdered....

IS NUTRAMIGEN LIQUID DIFFERENT FROM NUTRAMIGEN POWDER? My 1 month old son has acid reflux so spitt up and gas are a Huge deal in my house. Her pedi just switched him to Nutramigen/ rice cereal to help with spitt up and colic. Before he was on similac advance/rice cereal but the liquid kind. I tried the powdered similac advance and it made him spitt up even more. Today I tried the powdered nutramigen and sure enough he spitt up a lot. Is the liquid one any different than the powdered one?
