Does anyone know of a Meridian Youth Soccer league? My son will be 4 this summer and I'd love to have him join a soccer team this fall. I seem to keep getting the run-around on whether or not Parks and Rec has a league for smaller kids. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you all so much for the great information! I was able to register my son in the Boise Capitals Tots program for this spring. I also found more information on the Meridian Pals program. Thanks so much!

We put my sons in the Boise Capitals and they both loved it. They have a program especially for the younger kids that takes them through little stations and focuses on helping them build skills while having fun. My younger one was in there for two seasons and really loved it. My hubby was a coach for 3 seasons and he was really impressed with the training that they gave the coaches too.

My son is part of the Boise Capital Soccer Club. I'm not sure if your son will be old enough for actual soccer through them this fall, but they do have a tots program that is more of a coordination builder to get ready for soccer. Their website for more info is www.boisecapitals.com/academy-tots.htm

Hope this info helps. Oh, also for the tots program and all soccer games, they are located on Lake Hazel Rd between Cloverdale and Eagle roads.

I tried that last year and if you you go to google search on your computer, it should bring up some links. The only thing I could find was like a camp almost for kids that young. You basically have to go with them and help one of the Saturdays, basically being their coach. It is like a fundamentals class, so they can learn the basics of Soccer. Good luck.

It depends on what part of town you live in. There is Meridian PALs - which I am part of and on the Board. They will take players from any area, our field is off Ten Mile and Chinden. We have Rec levels teams for 3yrs thru 18yrs. Here is the link....http://www.meridianpal.org/

The issue you are going to run into right now is that most leagues have already closed their registration for the Spring, but if you call the office we do have a waiting list depending on the age group you are looking for. Good luck.

You should be able to find everything you need here! HTH! They have pretty good programs, but they fill up fast so make sure you call right away when registration for an activity opens.
