Hi, I've been procrastinating taking care of myself since I got pregnant, and I'm ready now to finally take action. (My child is almost 3!) I have the "pregnancy mask", as well as other concerns with sun damage/little growths. I don't know of the reputation of any dermatologists in the Colorado Springs area, and I'm not looking for just a cosmetologist or facialist - I think this is more serious than they can take care of, plus I need to see an MD so my insurance will help pay. Can anyone recommend a dermatologist they've seen? Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

My 18 month daughter has seen him since she was about 4 months old due to eczema since her dad has it. He, Dr. Kevin Whaley, specializes in adult and pediatric care. He's very sweet. Located in the Briargate area. Here is the link. Good luck.

Dr Nathan Trookman is an excellent dermatologist. He is very knowledgeable in all areas of dermatology. The clinic also has a Mohs surgeon.

She was recommended to me by three different doctors. She is up on all the new techniques and while I don't know if this would be necessary, she does have the best lasers in town. She performs all the procedures - not an assistant.
Good luck!

Our skin's condition is a reflection of the health of the inside of our bodies. If you are having skin problems, I would look into taking flora, like lactobacillus, etc. You can get flora pills in any health food store. Also look into doing a simple liver cleanse (olive oil and lemon at night). Cleaning your liver makes a big difference in your overall health and the look of your skin (that's why they call the dark spots we get liver spots).

Hi!

I recommend Dr. Gerard Koehn (he's on Chapel Hills Dr.). I was referred to him by an RN. I wanted to have some moles removed and get a recommendation for hyperpigmentation (bummer, when you get older the hormone mask thing happens again). Anyway, in the meantime, I had some health issues that prevented treatment for these things, but I did see him for a skin cancer screening. I really liked him.

Hope this helps,
L
