Which Booster Seat Do You Love?

My 2 1/2 year old son has outgrown his car seat. We bought a booster seat that seems to work fine but after seeing him in it a few times I don't think I like it. It does not have the 5 point harness it just acts as a seatbelt adjuster and it does not have a recline option. I am looking for a booster seat with a 5-point harness that will recline if he falls asleep. I'm willing to spend more if it's worth it, but of course would rather not :) What do you have that you love or don't love? What is right/wrong with it? Any input will help. Thanks.

there is NO WAY a 2.5yo should be in a booster! PLEASE get him out of that thing ASAP. they MUST be in a 5pt harness AT LEAST until age 3, but pref MUCH longer than that. my 5.5 year old is still in a 5 pt harness and he wouldn't have it any other way. if you have an excessively large child, get a britax regent, that's what my 5.5yo is in with LOTS of room to grow, and my 2.5yo is in a britax boulevard. my two boys were in a rollover crash at 75mph last summer, buckled into britax boulevards, and walked away literally without a scratch - that day, we bought two brand new britax seats that afternoon, each worth EVERY BIT of the $300 they cost.

Here is a great website that answers a lot of questions: www.thecarseatlady.com.

We have just ordered the new Britax Frontier for my soon to be 5yo. It's a booster with a 5 point harness. Right now she is in a Britax Boulevard and my son is in a Recaro Young sport (both convertible car seats). I plan on keeping them in a 5 point harness until they reach 80lbs.

Hope this info is helpful to you.

Ditto to Jennifer's response!!! Throw that booster away - they do not provide the support a child needs! My 4 year old, who is a very tall boy and weighs 60 lbs., is in the Britax Regent. It is awesome. My 2 year old is a big boy too and is in the Britax Marathon. I wouldn't dream of putting either of them in a booster seat. They'll each be in a 5-point harness on the way to elementary school!!!

We have had all Britax seats for our two kids and love them. They seem to be by far the safest out there. We have the Marathon, Decathalon, and just recently purchased the Frontier. The Frontier is a new 5 point harness booster seat that britax just released. My kids 5,3 love them. You can read more about them on http://www.amazon.com There are several reviews there.

My oldest son is 5.5 and he rides in the Britax Regent (5 point harness up to 80 pounds) I also love the britax marathon ( my 3.5 and 21 month old have those)but do not put your 2.5 year old in a booster...what ever you decide to get it should be a 5 point harness and not a booster.

We just got a Graco Nautilus for my 5 year old and it's great!! They're for little guys on up to 65 pounds with a 5-point harness--it's really the only seat you'll ever need and it's a steal for $150 at Walmart.
