Where to Pierce Infant Ears near Palatine, IL

You could use your peds ofice some will do in in the office but have limited choice's on earring or you can use Claires , my daughter was 4mnths old when she got her ears pierced she is now 13mnths old . Regardless of where you get them done it is important that you clean them properly and daily to avoid infection. Just for you info Claires does use very sterile equipment all earrings are sealed in its own packages as well as the guns .

Do NOT do business with BeadWorld --- took my teen daughter for navel piercing and had a horrible experience. The shop owner is the rudest most disrepectful man ever encountered. Store appear cluttered and dirty.

The places in the mall don't use sanitary procedures all the time. My daughter's friend lost half her ear from an infection and won a huge lawsuit against Claires. I'm surprised they are still allowed to pierce. I would ask your doctor where the safest place is.

I took my daughter when she was 6 months old to Claire's in Woodfield. A girl named L. did the piercing & she was very professional and everything was STERILE. My daughter has had no problems at all and she is now 20 months old. I would NOT have it done by a pediatrician. I work w/pediatricians and most are against doing it at a very young age and how much experience piercing ears do they really have? I was very comfortable w/Claires doing it but be sure you get a person who has experience w/piercing BABIES or perhaps the manager if she's more experienced. Avoid weekends since most likely there will not be a manager present. Try during the week in the daytime when it's usually slower and maybe call ahead to see who would be available to do it. Also, make sure they pierce 1 ear at a time. I also gave my daughter a dose of tylenol 30min. before even though she only cried for a second. She did really well. Good Luck!

I would go straight to the Dr. office. I asked my Dr. at my daughters 1 year check up if anyone in the office pierced ears and she said yes, and did it right then and there. I would avoid a mall if at all possible and use your Dr. as a starting point.

Hi L. - I took my daughter to a cosmetic surgeon at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove. Unfortuantely, I forgot her name. But you can go on-line and ask the doctors who will do it. My pediatrician wouldn't and other pediatricians wouldn't unless you were their patient. But the cosmetic surgeons do. It was quick and very clean and no problems at all. I'm sure there would be a docotor near you if you don't go to Alexian Brothers - you just have to do a little research.

We went to Claire's. My daughter was 4 months old.
I have heard that some Dr's will do it.
Claire's is very sanitary and all went well for us!
You purchase the earings you want from their peircing selection and they also give you a big bottle of cleaning solution. The peircing is then free.
