Hi I have lots of stamps which my kids enjoy doing. They also enjoy painting and helping me cook.

Any new suggestions on crafts with kids. I am not a play doh person. I love the smell but its way to messy.

Our favorite craft is decorating shirts.

I get stencils and fabric paint... sometimes glitter. Most of the time I pay $1-$3 for a new t-shirt for each child. We've done several big crafts but they love making shirts. They really enjoy wearing he shirts they have made.

My Kids like different things:

we go to the beach and collect "treasures" then we make necklaces’ with some of them or beach pails (there are clear "paint can "like containers and I put the sand in it and we work with that)

we draw and post those in my kitchen. I do not have a cupboard that isn't covered with drawings. My kitchen is my art gallery. We make creatures out of pipe cleaners. My oldest just made a "project" with a shoe box, pipe cleaner trees and cotton balls, dental floss to hold the "clouds up", and deer figurines. We make cards, and save them for that day, Christmas, Halloween, b-day, dad-day etc.

We make jewelry for gifts for G-Ma's and hand print t-shirts for others, and sometimes g-mas too.

We cook together. We make calashes of all the things we can find on a nature hike.

We do lots of crafts at my house. I always have paper, color books, markers, paint. We do a craft for every holiday. My husband has 4 grandkids and they love to come to my house because we do crafts all the time. Like someone else said, the fun foam crafts are great! The majority of them are stickers so there is no mess. They can stick to paper or the fun foam cut outs. The older kids like to paint. I buy the mini ceramic statues. They have alot of different characters. The kids love em.
Good luck and have FUN!!

we make Valentine's Hearts... all year long. We did it for Valentines day one year and it was so much fun that she suggests it a lot. I draw a heart on paper, she cuts it out and decorates it with sparkly glue, stickers, beads, feathers, popsicle sticks, anything that will stick to it. Then we send them to grandparents or somebody for birthdays, get wells or just no reason at all. really, who WOULDN'T want a sparkly homemade heart?

SUPER messy but worth it.

check out Family Fun Magainze. I got it when my kids were little and saved old issues. It is still published, but you can go online and get tons of ideas for crafts!

This time of year is a great time to collect leaves of all shapes.Lay them on the table, put a piece of paper over them and color with fall colors. Use the side of the crayon lightly and you will have a beautiful fall greeting card to send to grandmas and aunts and uncles for Thanksgiving.
Then we start thinking about homemade Christmas gifts!! Have fun!

My kids really like foam art. The big buckets of flat foam cut outs you can get at Walmart and stick to other flat foam pieces or cardboard/paper.

They also really enjoy drawing and making up stories to go with their drawings, so we write books as a craft at our house, too!
