Hello Moms

I received such great advice on stocking stuffers at Christmas time that someone else posted that I thought I would get ideas on what all you guys put in for Easter baskets. Just curious!

My boys are 6 & 3. I don't like to put much candy in the basket since that'll be in the eggs. For their baskets this year, I got some pencils, crayons, markers, books (easy reader ones for my 6 year old), bubble wand, bubble bath, coloring book, Mr. Potato Head accessories, Hot Wheels Cars, 2 DVDs each (I got a 2 pack of Spongebob movies that I divided between the 2 baskets, and one boy is getting The Bee Movie and the other 101 Dalmatians), sidewalk chalk, sunglasses, squirt gun, jump rope . . . I know there are a few other things, but I can't remember it all. The Easter bunny also got them a beach chair I got on clearance on Disney.com with a beach towel and flip flops.

This year for my 2yo I've got some puzzles and I'm either going to do a viewfinder or a DVD. I thought about doing a new set of sidewalk chalk or bubbles but we've got enough of that.

My daughter is 7 and my son is 10. I went to Big Lots and got some Hannah Montana stuff because she is really into Hannah Montana. I got her some mechanical pencils because they always need pencils for school. I got her one little thing of candy and a necklace. I got my son some hot wheels cars, pencils for school, new markers, a new box carchildren book etc.

Besides the traditional candy and chocolate, I always put gardening supplies in there so my son can help me plant the new flowers for our summer garden. This year he's getting a pair of garden gloves, a hoe, a hand rake, and a little pack of seeds and pots to plant his own flowers.

Oh, for girls my favorite! I have 2 girls! There is usually a new pair of flip-flops (Old Navy 2 for 5.00), a new pair of sunglasses, a cute outfit (usually a skort and tshirt or shorts and a tshirt from Target, Easter/Spring special) Chocolate, jelly beans, paper pad/Journal, new pen, lip gloss/or some sort of pretty make up, bubbles, I usually get them a DVD. I start getting stuff a month away from Easter though. This year I got them these personalized bubble totes from Learning Express in Southlake, to use at the pool. So I will probably get them a new inexpensive pool towel to stuff in there.
