My husband and i just got married last october and my mother in law made personalized magnets for everyone. She got a package of magnet sheets and some sticker paper and printed a picture of my husband and i and a little poem or just our names and wedding date on them and everyone loved them. They were so simple and preety cheap and we also did some candy dishes on each table filled with homemade candies that everyone could take home. Good luck.

B., there's a handmade candle company (Creative ScentSations) where she makes really cute wedding/baby favors. You can find them here ....

under 'wedding/baby'. She has some really nice fluted tarts that she puts tiny champagne glasses or wedding rings on them.

Good Luck :)

Michael's has these great little boxes in their wedding section...they were cheap especially with coupons, but took a long tim to put together. I put in hershey hugs and kisses and printed a saying that said hugs and kisses from the mr and mrs. It was really cute and I got a lot of compliments on it. I think in total for 100 favors it cost be about 50 bucks. Good luck!

We went to GFS and bought bulk size candy and put them all in little favor bags, tied with ribbon and little tags I made on my computer. We also ordered packets of flower seeds online (we got married in a garden) that were personalized with our names & date. They were like $1 each. There are LOTS of ideas out there. There's a great forum on brides.com that helped out alot.

Small candles, with your color scheme in mind, wrapped in tulle w/ a cute saying.

A picture of you and your husband or you can use several different pictures so that not everyone gets the same picture, w/ a cute saying on it, place it on a business-card size magnet w/ an adhesive back (buy in bulk at Staples, Office Depot/Office Max)

deck of cards -stick labels on box (can use this as a place card for guests- one side has your names/date the other has table #)

votive candle holders (IKEA)

look for clearance/dollar store tiny gift

We did book marks with our date and the Love is Patient Love is kind etc ... on it.

We had magnets made up with our name and wedding date also.

Another perspective depending on your wedding...

The way I viewed it, the open bar, dinner and appetizers were favor enough. We also had close to 300 people at our wedding so even at $1 a piece, it was just that much more expensive. Plus, when you really think about it, what does a $1 buy? (Except a sandwich off a fast food menu - sorry, bad joke!) I say save the money.

If you really feel the need to do something, you could also make a donation to a charity (can be any amount...even $10) and place a card at each placesetting that states "as a thank you for sharing our special day, a donation has been made in your name to XYZ organization."

Congrats on getting married!

If you don't mind doing a little bit of work you can do wrapped candles.

What we did for our wedding was buy a bunch of scented votive candles, pre-cut tulle circles, ribbon to bind, and card stock. Our wedding colors were blue and orange, so we bought peach and blueberry scented votives from Bath and Body Works (great time to buy them is when they are on sale like $1 each, and use a 20% coupon). We got the tulle circles and satin ribbon for tying from Michael's (they have lots of colors).

To personalize the item, we bought card stock for a 'tag' on the candles. We used a heart-shaped hole punch for the ribbon to pass through, bought a rubber stamp with the first letter of our last name and stamped the end of the card, and then finally we used Microsoft Word and a fun font to print our name, the date of our wedding, and a thank you quote.

Each of these favors were on the table at each place setting and really added a splash of color to the reception tables. It was a little bit labor intensive, but I was really happy with them.

B., Not sure of exactly how many people your looking for. I have a candy business called Grandma's Goodies. I do favors for weddings and showers. Gift bags etc. My biggest seller is a "Turtle on a Stick" its a pretzel stick wrapped in caramel, dipped in chocalate with pecans on it. It comes in a clear wrapper with ribbon tied around it with a small note/tag attached with the info of your choise. They are $1.75 each for up to 50 and $1.25 each for 51 or more. I have done these for appreciation dinners, weddings, showers and last year for Oswego East's highschool senior celebration. they are a huge hit.
Email me if your interested.

I know it is breaking copy rights but a cd with your favorite songs that will be played at the wedding with your picture on the cover is always big hit.

Hi, I just got married back in July of 2008 and I gave out bookmarks with a poem pertaining to our special day. They were a big hit and very cheap. I believe I ordered 200 and only paid maybe 50 dollars total.
