Hi Mamas!! It's been so long since I was TTC that I have forgotten some basics.
My doctor told me to have sex beginning on the 12th day of my cycle. So your first day of your period is considered day 1, correct?
Just making sure - don't want to mess it up over a lousy 5 days.

Yes, the first day of your period is Day 1. If your cycle length is greater than 28 days, you might want to time intercourse later as your ovulation will be later than day 14. I just wanted to mention that most people don't ovulate right in the middle of their cycle. I didn't have much luck with charting because I was ovulating much earlier in my cycle. I think it is better to look for your body fertility signs like cervical mucus thickness. A crude term, but it really is more accurate. The fertility websites will tell you what to look for if you don't already know, but you are fertile when it is really stretchy. Start to have sex when it starts to get really thick. Sorry if TMI.

I used the clear-blue ovulation kit. It comes with 31 sticks. They say to disguard sticks if you need to try again the next month. No way just a way to get people to buy more. I used them for the next month. It took me three months. My son is 4 yrs. I used this because I wanted a boy and was told the closer you get to your ovulation you have a better chance. Well they were right I got my son. I had a girl so I hoped for a boy. So when it gets really dark. Go for it. Good Luck! :)
