Supportive Slippers?

My feet ache when I am pregnant and I am looking to prevent as much pain and fluid as possible. I am in the market for some supportive slippers or shoes to wear in the house. I have gel pads in the kitchen already, but I need something more.

Any recommendations/suggestions?

What can I do next?

Reefs brand flip flops are super comfy!! I wear my husband's all of the time. Would be great around the house. Really lightweight and cushy. They are sold in men's only, I think. You can find them at Nordstrom Rack

I have two kids and lives them while pregnant (and I have those gel mats too)

Congrats on the baby and best of luck!

I'm not pregnant, but I'm looking for the same thing. My house has all wood/tile floors and it wreaks havoc on my feet and knees to walk around barefoot or in unsupportive shoes. I've heard that Crocs are awesome, though I've never owned a pair. I forgot about Birkenstocks, I used to have some of those when I was younger and they were great. I'll be watching your suggestions.

I love FitFlops. I walk hard, and they absorb the hit very well. Also, I can't stand to be completely flat on the ground for too long, and they give me just the right amount of support.

I lived in Birkenstock sandals when I was pregnant.
The arch support is great.
As for fluid retention, in my last month my feet swelled up something awful no matter what I did and stayed that way till about 2 weeks after my son was born.
Drink plenty of water, watch your salt intake, keep your feet up when you can and try to walk (or swim) to keep your circulation going.

Birkenstock sandals. When I was pregnant, and had balloons for legs and feet, I also live in them, but not at work, I had to wear shoes. Find a Birkenstock store in your area, check on line, or at least a store that carries them. I just started wearing Crocs, and they are pretty good, too--lightweight.

Try Orthaheel. They have great support and they have slippers. I have a pair of their flip flops and they are great, no knee, back or other pain like cheapo flip flops. They are worth every penny and they last. They're available on Zappos and other related sites. Their home site tells about the support and technology. I highly recommend.
