So What Happened?

thank you all for your advice.. it was just her head pushing on my stomach muscles. they did an ultrasound just to be sure it wasnt anything else. the nausea and vomitting was due to acid reflex and serious heart burn. all is better now. got meds! again thank you all for your comments. i love being able to chat with people and get opions from other moms.

It's typically normal as the ligaments of your uterus expands and stretches, and it will likely last intermittently for a few more days, weeks or until you deliver. However, if it is severe, or extremely sensitive call your obgyn to make sure that there isn't another cause for it and for ideas on how to alleviate it to make sure that it isn't something more serious.

I would suggest to call your OB's office and ask the nurse, that is what they are there for. I did have this with my first pregnancy and it was my stomach muscles separating a bit and it was very uncomfortable and even painful at times, but it did go away. I didn't have this at all with my second pregnancy. Good luck with everything, and also try and take it easy!!

It CAN be normal... or it can be a sign of several dangerous things (that's the sensation I'd feel right before my placenta ripped / as it was ripping from the wall).

Don't take OUR normal for comfort. Call your OB.

This was my midwife & OB team (i had both!) spin on things: The NUMBER ONE sign that something needs medical attention? Mom feeling "weird", or like something is "off". No matter what time of day or night... if something feels "weird" or "off" CALL IMMEDIATELY.

I had the same pain with my 2nd. It would last a couple days then go away then come back lol. Doctor told me to take some tylenol and relax! Good luck!

It was normal for me in all 3 pregnancies, but always give doc a call and make sure they think so. Rather safe than sorry.

I don't remember having this at all. I would call your doctor and describe your symptoms. Especially the nausea seems unusual.

Yep, it's normal, and there's no formula to how long it lasts. You can feel stretching for days at a time. Sorry if you're uncomfortable. I laughed at mine because I was just so amazed.
