I have a question if anyone can give me some advice/thoughts that would be great. We were planning on having our sons bday party at Burger King/McDonalds playland with a party room. I am having a hard time figuring out how I should take care of the adults food. I plan on buying hmeals for all the kids. Please give me some advice thanks, S. or ideas for different reasonabel priced indoor venue's that wont cost $15.00 a person?? We have WAY too many kids and adults to do something like pump it up so any other ideas would be great.
I went to one where the kids' meals were covered and the adults fended for themselves. It was fine. Or you could get gift coupons worth a certain amount (cost of a combo or salad & drink) and give the adults those so they can use those and add on to it if they want to. Or you could give the adults a choice of 2 or 3 items and a med. drink which they can refill. I know they'll let you bring in a cake with plates & forks.
McD has great salads and chkn. sandswiches. Why not just let the adults pick from the menu? Or have them back to the house after the kids' party?
Ever heard of "U Bounce"? It is on Rochester Rod between 14&15 mile roads. We just went there for a bday party and my 3 year old loved it. It is a 2 hour party, not sure of the cost, but then the parents ordered pizza and cake. I am not sure if the place has a food package or you can just bring in your own. It was easy for all w/ just pizza, juice/pop and cake.
We went to a friend's son's 5th bday party at Pump It Up Party Place in Taylor. It was a lot of fun and included pizza, water, and party favors-- our friends provided the cake. There were at least 20 kids and some (not all) of their parents there, and our friends told us that the party cost $300 for 2 hrs. That might be out of your price range, but you could also consider having the party at a park (Dearborn's Crowley Park is nice, with 2 play areas close to one another and picnic table nearby) and provide pizza and cake for the kids. But if you decide to keep it at McD's or BK, maybe you could provide a drink for the parents-- McD's coffees are good!
How about Chuckie Cheese or something like that instead. Getting Pizza for everyone would probably be a lot easier... Or one of those bounce places, they're poppin up everywhere. We went to one at a place called bouncing off the walls, it was very nice - the whole place is nothing but YOUR party, no other crazy kids you don't know running around-lol.. I heard that it runs around $200 and that includes the pizza and pop for everyone for 2 1/2 hours (i think).. Good luck and happy birthday to your little one :)
my neighbor had her sons party at Bouncing Bobby's in Wayne. They provided all the entertainment and pizza and drink for everyone event he adults. The adults got to bounce too!!! My neighbor provided the cake. There was a Throne for the Bday boy to sit on to oen presents and everything! I'm sure there are more bouncing fun places around! It seemed to be more economical that BK's or McD's...
Bouncin Kidz is a great indoor bounce place. It's on M-59 and I think Gratiot. In the industrial plaza behind Morley's Candy Factory. We have had several parties there. They have more than just an indoor bounce, they have two obstacle courses (those blow up kind w/walls and slides and then just a giant slide. A smaller bounce house w/basketball hoops. Lots of things in the room, and if I remember correctly you also switch to a room with different stuff. I think we had 45 minutes in each room. Then off to a party room for 45 minutes where we had pizza, cake and icecream. (The pizza was from Jet's but Bouncin Kidz orders and we brought our own cake and icecream. Someone from their staff will assist during this time and also assist and write down everything when your child opens the presents. We had about 20 adults and 15 kids from ages 1 yr-10 years. EVERYONE had a great time.
Another bouncin place we have had a party at is at Van Dyke and 19 mile. In the industrial plaza there. Sorry I can not think of the name, if you googled it, you could find it. That one had just one room, indoor bounce, but other games and activities. We brought in all our own food for this. Also at this one, the tables for eating are in the same room as the bouncing. So while kids jumps, adults can sit at the tables and you can have snacks out. We also paid a little extra and kids got to make spin art(their staff assisted) These awesome art pieces along with a small bag of cotton candy we purchased from the bounce place, became their party favor. We actually had pizza delivered. I recommend that if you choose a bouncin place, go there and check out rooms etc. They will be glad to show you around. Have fun!!
