Shettles Method, Chinese Gender calendar..did They Work for You?

I've read the old questions on here asking the same thing, but the asker usually never fills out the SWH. So I want to know if you went by both, either, or anything else and if you ended up with the sex you wanted. We are trying for a boy, so I did the shettles method but won't find out if I'm pregnant for a couple more weeks.
The Chinese gender calendar, I would usually never believe in things like that but it's been mostly right for everyone I've tried it on.
I know it should be 50/50 but how does that happen? Also did the shettles method work on your first try?
Let me add the disclaimer that of course a healthy baby is the first concern and whatever God gives me I'll be happy with and love just the same. But I really want to experience having a son I already have 2 girls, and no I don't want to adopt I want my own biological child. It's a personal choice besides not being able to afford it. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I never "tried" for a specifc gender, but if I had relied on the Chinese gender calendar, I would have been let down! According to it, I should have 1 boy and 2 girls...I have 3 boys :)

I have never heard of the shettles method and the chinese gender chart was right for our oldest but wrong for our youngest. It was correct both times for my sister.

Shettles did work for me - tried for, and got, a baby girl. I got pregnant the second month we tried.

The Chinese gender calendar I'm not so sure about. I found two different websites for it and one predicted boy and the other predicted girl.

50% with me.
We used Shettles with both pregnancies.

I have one of each, and was trying for boys.

So, in short, I think I found that you're going to get what you're going to get no matter what you do. :)

After looking up the definition of Shettles, I realize I DID try this with my 2nd child and was blessed with the boy we were hoping for after having a girl. Of Course we would have been thrilled with a healthy child regardless, but it made it kind of fun seeing if our non-scientific approach would work. We waiting until the birth to find out the gender!

I did settles, Chinese gender calendar, some sun/ moon thing, jonas calendar, supplements, etc......and it got me a boy....not trying for one. I got pregnant without trying for #4....looked back to all those charts, got pregnant right at ovulation (ovulated a bit earlier than I expected) which all said boy and got a girl. I guess it works opposite for me :)
