I currently have a Kodak Easy Share Z980. It is a great beginner camera and takes some really nice photos. However, I am now looking for a more advanced camera, including one that can be supplemented with additional lenses. I find that I am taking lots of sports photos, including photos in not so great gymnasium lighting. Any recommendations? Thanks.

We have a NIKON D3100. It has a setting that allows you take a burst of pictures by holding down the button. I have used it at our sons baseball games to take multiple shots as he swings the bat. My other camera could do it but was much slower and didn't get very good shots. If you go to Best Buy or a camera store they can advise you on what would be the best for the amount you want to spend.

I have a nikon d3000 and love it!! I take tons of photos of my 22 month old son -- he's always on the run but this camera can keep up with him!!

My husband has a Cannon Rebel, can't remember the model. He has used manual camera's for years. So for ME to take that camera and with my limited knowledge get awesome sports shots, is amazing! Our daughter plays softball and I get compliments all the time of the photos I share. I took one 2-3 hour class and don't remember most of it. But once I knew where to set it for sports photos, I was good.
I would be happy to email you a couple of pictures.

Totally agree that Nikon is the way to go. I have the D3100 which just took some fantastic pics or our soccer weekend away but I'm looking to add a sports lens to it soon which can be pricey but worth it. A good camera is the best investment.
