Does anyone get boils on their body? Does anyone know where they come from? How can I stop them from coming? I get these around my midsection and its so embarrassing - not to mention painful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Boil Ease works awesome, you can get it from Walgreens, Osco, etc. Boils are more of a sytemic thing, like certain forms of acne. Also, it could be an infected hair folicle as well.

I don't, but our neighbors son had some and had them cultured and it turned out he had MRSA which is really contagious. I would check with your doctor especially if they are reoccuring. You might have some kind of infection going on in your body and it's coming out in boils.

Go to your doctor ASAP!!!! Boils are either a staph or strep bacterial infection, probably staph. My hubby has been battling this for a while. The doctor cultured it and it turned out to be the MRSA staph bug. He is on 2 antibiotics and it is finally getting cleared up. Staph is highly contagious, sanitize anything that you come in contact with. Everyone has staph on their body in some quantity that is usually harmless. Sometimes do to a bug bite, animal scratch or other injury the staph will get into the body and start causing problems. Warm compresses will help to relieve them and also keeping them covered with an antibiotic cream and a dressing of some sort.

I'm not sure where they come from exactly but a good way to get rid of them is to dab a little honey on it and cover with a bandaid for 24 hrs. Give it a try!

I got one behind my ear a couple of years ago and I got it removed from a doctor. The doc said it comes from oils in ones body. I don't know why it got there but he cut it open and it was nasty.... I had to put ointment on it and it went away and never came back nor did I get others. Get them removed and keep that area as dry as you can.... Good luck.

probiotics....helps EVERYTHING! These boils are a symptom to something going on inside your body. Take supplements, detox tea, probiotics and then use body care that doesn't have any chemicals, perfumes, dyes, fragrances or artifical ingredients, esp. mineral oil or petroleum.

Check out my ad, it will definitely help with cost for some of these items.

My daughter (2 yrs) has had several boils off and on, and we think it's come from her own scratching of her skin... bacteria got in.
But then I got a horrid one in the pelvic region and I believe it was my body trying to detox. It wouldn't go away, and I didn't want to go on antibiotics, just in case it was antibiotic resistant-- found this amazing stuff called icthammol ointment (it's a draw out salve). Ask your pharmacist if they can special order it for you, or buy it online.
I put it on the horrid thing (which had made my lymph node start to swell-- and had been there a week--it was so painful!), covered with a bandaid and in 24 hrs, the thing began draining on its own. We squeezed the rest of the junk out. WOW. pretty awful, but I felt so much better! and I haven't had a boil since.
use lots of hydrogen peroxide to clean the area and definitely hot compresses. Hope this helps you!
