Seeking a Good Old Fashioned Bakery, not Just Cakes, cookies, pies,in Inland Empire

Would like to find a "real" bakery. Not one that just makes desserts, cakes, pies, etc. I haven't been able to locate one in the Ontario area. but I'm willing to travel.
I would love to find Parker House Rolls, breads, and other types of bakery goods, however, I'm not adverse to good pies and cakes. I have a large family that gathers at my house and I don't have the time or talent to do the baking. So if you know of a "real" bakery let me know I'd be really grateful. Thanks

There are two bakeries in downtown Claremont, Full of Life and Some Crust. They both bake breads and rolls though Some Crust's speciality is cakes and pastries.

There's a place called Simple Simon's downtown Riverside. I am not sure about their selection, but everything I've had from there has been great.

I agree, Some Crust Bakery in Claremont is fabulous.
I'd also like to recommend the Panera Bread bakery (Foothill & Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga) and the Corner bakery in Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga). For cookies, try Roju's Cookie House at Archibald & Foothill in Cucamonga. But Clare's idea for a breadmaker is a fabulous idea too. I have one and it is incredibly easy. You add the ingredients and turn it on. That's it. No stirring, kneading, etc. And if you've got a timer, it will come on, bake your bread and be piping hot when you tell it too! My family makes fun of me because I use it sooooo much - LOL

There is a little hole in the wall place in Redlands, California. They have the absolute best bread, muffins, cakes, etc. They actually did our Wedding cake and it was unbelievable They even have a "Tea Time" Thurs - Sat. It's actually a bakery on one half of the store and an eating establishment on the other. Food is great too! Here is the info on them:

Martha Green's (For breads and pastries)
Dough'Lectibles
Breads & Pastries
105 E. Citrus
Redlands CA
###-###-####

The Eating Room (For a comfy eating establishment)
107 E. Citrus
Redlands, CA
###-###-####

I can't say enough about this place. It's tops on my list.

Hope you give them a try, I can be sure you won't regret it.
Kathleen

Have you heard of Some Crust bakery in the Claremont village? They have loads of breads as well as all the usual bakery fare, but I know that you can special order almost anything and they always have interesting specialty goodies for all the various holidays . They are located on Yale Avenue between second and first streets on the west side of the street!

I think there is one called Old Town Baking Company in Alta Loma. Located in the Sunrise shopping center at Baseline and Carnelian. They have lots of fresh baked breads, rolls, scones, pies, cookies. Hope this helps.

I would consider investing in a bread maker. As far as I've heard, Panasonic seem to make some of the better machines.

There is a great bakery based in Rancho Cucamonga. I've never been to the bakery itself, but I've bought lots of their breads from the Chino Hills famers market, where they are a vendor. If I recall correctly, they are called Old Town Bakery, and they are on Baseline in Rancho. I don't know the exact address or cross streets. I've really looking forward to the farmer's market starting up again in a couple weeks so I can get more of their delicious bread.

Poul's Bakery in 770 Tustin Street, Best Bakery in Orange County, best Wedding Cakes, and good news is
It will be reopen with in 30 days, I can not wait, this was the best Bakery in Orange county, everything was fresh and superb, just enough sugar and perfect combination of ingredients, I tried many others when we are not in the area but we always ended up saying it is not as good as Poul's Bakery, after quick remodeling I think they will be back in Business same as before, I met the new owners ,they are very nice and they told me same workers will be back.and that is a very good news,
