Hi Moms,

Any kid friendly restaurants(or just good restuarants) you would recommend in the Oak Park area?

Thanks

Winberies is great. They have a kids menu and they've always been accommodating when we have our daughter with us. Mancinis is so good too.

All the suggestions alreay made are great to that list, I would add Fuego Loco on Lake, Trattoria 225 on Harrison and Wishbone on Roosevelt in Berwyn.

Buzz cafe is very kid-friendly. There is an area in the back that they can play in while you eat (and you can still supervise!)

There are always families there, and I think kids eat free. I love Flat Topp Grill on lake st.

Check it out!

Papaspiros on Lake is very family friendly. We also take our son (9 months) to Lalo's on Oak Park.

I think most restaurants in Oak Park are pretty child-friendly, except for the very small or more high-end spots, and especially when you go earlier in the evening. Here are a few that haven't been mentioned.

Eric's Deli on OP near Lake is very casual (you order at the counter and they bring your food to you) but child-friendly, with a cheap, extensive menu.

Khyber Pass (downtown OP) not only has some of the best Indian food in the area, they have always been fabulous to my kids when we go. I've been there for early dinner and for lunch with the kids.

We find Lalo's a little crowded and loud, although the food is good, but we like La Majada, a few blocks away on Harrison. The decor is a little tired, and the food is basic (but good), but the place is enormous, with lots of space for a family to spread out, and my kids love the mariachi guy. The margaritas are better-than-average, and the staff is child-friendly and open to special requests. Plus, sidewalk seating in the summer!

Buzz cafe, of course. I think they have family dinner night almost every night now. Very casual coffee-shop atmosphere, but it's fun with lots of other families and babies around. If you like the coffee-shop atmosphere, Nola's has really good food, too, and they are open in the evenings.
