Reasonably Priced Birthday Party

My son is turning 6 in a couple of months and I want to get started planning and saving for his party. We're considering Gattiland and I'm wondering if anyone has been there. Or if you wouldn't mind telling me where you've had parties. It's our first "real" party and I want to do it right, I just don't want to break the bank!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Big thanks to everyone who responded. We ended up going with Toys R Us in the Forum. They take care of absolutely EVERYTHING and Cade's very excited.

Although you have already found a place to have his party, I own a birthday party place on 3009. Check it out for your daughters next birthday. It is called Party Station. We do offer Military discounts for birthday parties. Check out my website www.mypartystation.com. We also have open day play Monday through Friday 9-2. I just opened in January and will be expanding within the next 1-2 months.

Hi M..
Gattiland is fun but I think it may be geared toward older children. Have you looked into Incredible Pizza? Here's the link: http://www.incrediblepizza.com/
Inflatable Wonderland is lots of fun, too. http://sanantonio.inflatablewonderland.com/web/index.php/...
If you want a themed party at home, pool, park, here's a link to someone who can help you plan: imhavinaparty.com

Have fun!

Try the Incredible Pizza Company - it's located at Blanco and West Avenue - they have indoor mini-golf, electric gokarts, bowling - 4d ride - and pizza is way better than gatti's! They also show movies in different rooms - it's a really neat place - check it out!

He is turning 6. Well, he may still by young enough to have it at Mcdonalds. I just had my 6yr olds birthday party at Pump it up, and that cost me more than Chuck E. Cheeses. It was close to $400.,and I didn't even feed the children or parents. Just cake. I have had it at Chuck E Cheeses three times, and everytime costed me about $300. Um, I had one at Toys R Us,and that too was close to $300. So this year for my twins turning 4 in May, I am going the Mcdonalds route. I have already booked it and calculating everything, I probably won't spend more than $100. The pricing is pretty good compared to most places and for what's included. I am throwing their party at the Toepperwein and Kitty Hawk location because you get a private party room and the big playplace is indoors with your own door from the room to the play place. And that location is clean. Good luck. Let me know what you find. Us moms are always on the lookout for the next place to have a party.-A.

my son loved chuckie cheese. He is 12 now, and prefers other things. We had 3 parties there, and it was always so much fun. It can get expensive depending on how many people you have there, and also if you are just paying for the kids, it shouldnt be too bad. Sometimes the san antonio paper will have coupons for there. My son has also went to the inflatable fun land.

I know the feeling we traditionally have the kids birthday parties at hme for this reason. For example last Birthday, I bought a cake from HEB with Lighting McQuin (20.00), Bill Millers ( 40.00 /two family style meals usealy feeds 8 to 10)...some party decorations 30.00 ( bought the small pony and ballon set up from Walmart). We supplied soda and stuff another 20.00. We did not buy any adult drinks cause thats to expensive and you would have to figure out who liked what ext.....we did not buy him a gift cause figured my family would do that and it cost around 110.00. the good part also is did not have to worry about our youngest getting into stuff like a resteraunt party place.....

I have been to Gatti' it's ok for the kids lots of stuff to do. They have seprate party rooms and let you bring your own cake. I think the game cards ( like debut cards but for the games) you have to buy yourself. The food is ok....

Morgan is in school so we have been to a few this year...
Kiddy Park, Gatti' Gymberee, and the Whittie tree house...
