Is anyone else suddenly hearing (loud!!) audio ads on this site? What it makes me do is close the browser tab because that seems to be the only way to get rid of them. I see no videos on the side that I can mute or close. It is very frustrating and a tad bit rude. By the way, advertisers, I pay NO attention to the ad, other than to go "WTH, SHUT IT OFF! WHERE CAN I SHUT IT OFF!" and if I note the product I think, "Well, they're jerks. Let's NOT buy that." I get that you get what you pay for but sometimes it seems like a bad psychological experiment.
Anyone else annoyed?
I tend to keep my computer muted unless I'm specifically listening for something.

It happened to me earlier this morning and took me by surprise. Same as you- I couldn't find the ad, couldn't turn it of, so I resorted to muting my computer.
I went in and fixed it with the ad blocker. My computer is new, so I didn't mess with it until this happened. Haven't had another one yet, but I completely agree with you... so frustrating!
I NEVER in all of the years on here, or even using a computer.. have I ever had the volume on the computer or my ipad. It is always on silent.
I always keep it off unless I want to watch a clip or a video on another site.
I was surprised to know there were sounds that went with ads!

I have an ad blocker. I see none of it.
I am. I almost never look at the ads anyhow. So when they start shouting at me, I get off the site. Mamapedia could surely do better.
I use a tablet, and never get sound with the ads.

But I'm with you! I use some other sites hat have the unnecessarily loud ads, that you CANT turn off for mute. It makes me so mad... Especially if I need to be able to listen to what I was doing in the first place. >:(
Thank goodness I haven't. But that awful toe fungus ad? I want to shoot whoever put that on there. It makes me sick in the tummy to see it everytime I open MP. Blech!!!
Get an ad blocking software. I like AdBlocker Plus- free browser extension. You'll never see those annoying ads again!
yes, and i've got an ad blocker! sometimes the MP noise ads sneak through, and startle the spit outa me.
i figure those are the days MP doesn't want me here and exit out obligingly.

So much so that I delete Mamapedia from my inbox and just sign in to mamapedia.com/questions. No ads that way!
