I am 6mths pregnant, and having severe pain in my hip, legs, back, and stomach. It is so bad to the point that i can't walk sometimes. Is there anybody in my situation or have been there before, and if so ,what did you do?

What can I do next?

Best thing you could do is go to the chiropractor and get adjusted at least once a week for a little while. Helps me out a ton. If I didn't I wouldn't be walking or sitting i'd be laying on the floor crippled!!

I'm prego with the same problems. I had to go to the chiropractor one time when my rib hurt so bad, I couldn't move or take a breath. Other than that, I just change my position or lay down for a bit... Good luck and Congrats!~

try a long body pillow... try walking slow.... drink lots of water.. and try to move the baby a little.. the baby is probably leaning on a nerve... it will get better once you have the baby.... if you can go for a massage... try taking a warm bath... these may all help.. good luck

Have you talked to your doctor about it? I had severe sciatic pain, but this did not include my stomach. If you have severe pain you should be checked out to make sure everything is ok. And they can give you a referral to a physical therapist or chiropractor that can help you.

I used a heating pad on low and got better shoes which helped a lot.

I have that every day, well with the exception of the stomach pain but those could be braxton hicks. (My doctor told me they could be very painful at times just FYI) My hips hurt so bad and so does my back, I lay down with a long body pillow between my legs and drink lots of water. Try taking some regular Tylenol for the pain. (I am 36 weeks pregnant but been having the same problems as you since I was about 6 months as well.) good luck with everything and congrats.

I send all of my doula clients to the chiropractor. As others have said, this is tremendous help for you and your baby. It usually helps to make labor more efficient, and shorter. And helps to ensure the baby is in a good position. Questions to ask when calling the chiropractor: Do you work with pregnant women and babies? Do you do Webster technique? How much of your practice is pregnant and post partum women? If the chiro is not familiar with Webster technique, search elsewhere.

I had Sciatica with my last two pregnancies. The baby was putting pressure on that nerve. I could drive to the market, and sometimes could not walk all the way through the parking lot without having excruciating pain. A doctor suggested stretches (lying on my back, bending the problem leg over the other knee and pulling it towards my chest) and another doctor suggested bed rest for a day or two each time it got bad. Sitting too long at a time also triggered it. You can also get one of those pregnancy belts to help support your growing tummy. With both pregnancies, these issues were immediately alleviated after the babies were born. Sorry you're suffering.

You can find a Webster technique certified chiropractor here: http://icpa4kids.org/Find-a-Chiropractor/

A Webster certification is an extra three year process, so make sure they are certified, as they will know specifics of dealing with pregnancy pain. It will also be very beneficial to baby for optimal fetal positioning!

Good luck--sorry about the aches and pains!
