I had my some almost 2 years ago and due to a bad pregnancy I gained 64 lbs. If you saw me you wouldn't think my body could hold that much. Well that is why I had a bad pregnancy, it couldn't. So far I have only lost 30 lbs and my body still can't take the weight. It is beating me down more and more everyday. I can't go to a gym or take any classes and I already go for 2 hr. walks everday. but I was wondering if anyone knew of anything I could do at home with my son. Thanks in advance for all your help.

What can I do next?

What about doing any type of work out video tape? When I was on maternity leave I did step arobics and my daughter found it pretty funny that I was bouncing around. You could also do simple things with your son...you can lay on your back and put him on your legs and kind of do leg curls, good work for you, fun for him. I would also lay on my back and pretty much use my daughter as a bench press, they think it's fun, and after a few sets of them your arms get a good work out. You can also put him in a snuggly or something like that and just clean and do things around the house with him on you. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it's added weight you're carrying around so it helps. Good luck!

find out where your problem areas are...with food, and with your body. focus on one new area a week.
for example...
week 1: cut out empty caloried snacks
week 2: repeat wk 1, plus do 2 reps of 20 crunches per day...
you get the idea...
this really helps me, that way i don't get overwhelmed.
i also use an awesome weight loss system that is built on herbal principles (called arbonne) & i love it!
message me if you have any questions!
good luck!

I would highly recommend the Weight Watchers online program. It is inexpensive and private, you are in total control of your weight loss without going to meetings and having others watch you. I've done the program twice and lost 20 lbs each time. I found it fun and the website has point values for every food possible along with recipes. As long as you have a computer to log your daily food and activity points, you will be all set.

Good luck!

I completely understand what you mean. My son is already a year old and I am still 40+ lbs overweight from the pregnancy! It is totally sucking up my energy and making it hard to get around. My knees hurt so bad that my doctor referred me to an orthopedic surgen who is sending me to physical therapy twice a week. Please feel free to message me if you need to talk. Hopefully we can both find something that will help us! Good Luck!

A., Sorry to hear about your complications with your pregnancy. I hope you are doing well now?!
There are so many good exercise DVD's out there that do incorporate your children. I have to echo the yoga. It is wonderful for you. Have you ever thought of keeping a food journal for a few days to see what you are eating everyday. Sometimes it is very enlightening to see in black and white what we are eating. Have you had your thyroid tested. It is not uncommon after pregnancy to have issues with it and if it is under active it can make it very difficult to lose weight. Also check out this website it has lots of great resources such as meal plans calorie counter etc.

Good luck and let me know how things turn out.

I've been going to a Mommy and Me yoga class since my first was about 6 months old. I continued through my second pregnancy - all 42 weeks of it! I took 6 weeks off and then returned. My second is now nearly 2 and I'm about 25 weeks pregnant and still going to the same class. It's just one day a week for about an hour. There are plenty of modifications for different levels. My daughter's best friend is the teacher's daughter. They are just 2 months difference in their age and they met and grew up together at yoga. It will be sad next year when they both have preschool on yoga day and won't get to go together any more. I plan to continue with my son and new baby.
