Potty Training a Girl - Wyoming,MI

Hi L.. Well, I don't have any boys, but have potty trained 3 girls. The best approach I found was to leave them completely naked from the bottom. Just put a dress or long tee-shirt over her. If she is telling you change me, she is ready! If she knows there is nothing to go in, she is forced to go potty! Good luck! I always say that potty training is the most stressful thing a parent has to go through. Really tests your patients!

Hi L., my name is M., I am a 31 yr old with 2 kids, 1 girl, 1 boy. My daughter is the oldest and quite frankly I had no ideal on how to even begin potty training her. She was showing signs so one day just out of the blue I said " Sissy, mommy's going to beat you to the potty and took off running down the hall, naturally I got into the brm first so as soon as she got in there I acted really hyper trying to get my pants down telling her " mommy's gotta go potty really bad, when she saw me doing that she ripped her diaper off and jumped up to the pot and when she did that I laughed and told her "silly girl you beat me". Truthfully, I never had to buy another diaper again, we used pullups for bed and I had her completley trained before her 2nd bday. I think that it took me a total of 2 maybe 3 days and that was the end of it. I personally think that you should try this if you haven't already, it worked for us and hopefully it will for you as well.

P.S. Make sure that you have one of the little toilet seats on the toilet and a stool in front of it before you decide to do this. Good Luck!!

so get her a little potty and let her poop on the potty.

My daughter was trained for poop at 26 months... but she wouldnt pee on the potty..

one day (at 28 months) she was squatting down I asked her what she was doing and she said peeing... so I put her in panties the next day.. and she had a total of 3 accidents in the next 3 days.

she has been accident free since.. she is still wet at night and 1/2 the time during nap but she is dry all day and she can go 3 hours without a potty trip.

girls are easy.. no tricks are needed.

I had just reponsed to a similar question.What I told her was I had a tough time with my daughter.It was really hard to get her to do anything on the potty.Well we made plans to go on a trip to the zoo and told her if she doesnt use the potty any day before the trip we could not go and well it worked, since then we never had a problem.You think maybe saying if you poop this week then at the end of the week (or weekend) you'll get a little gift? Buy little things from the dollar staore and put it away for that reward.

I have 3 children, my oldest is a boy who turned 3 in May. I actually have a question for you about potty training boys...what did you find that helped/worked? Only if he's naked will he go on the potty.

My daughter is 21 months now and has just been talking about the potty. She's a bit scared of it right now. We have a large circle of friends (9 couples) that all had children around the same time - out of the couples there were only 2 of us that had boys. Everyone has said that their girls were easy because they didn't want to be wet/dirty.
