I just had baby #3, and naturally my belly is very swollen. This time much worse then before. As much as I was stretched Im surprised he's not bigger lol. Do the binders or belly bands help with discomfort and belly shrinkage? I am nursing so I know that will hep, but would like to not look 6 mos. pregnant!!!!!Any suggestions welcome!!!

What can I do next?

I know my belly will take awhile to shrink back, I'm just looking for suggestions in the meantime to help disquise some of the swelling so I dont look 6 mos pregnant, and to feel a little "supported"

You just had a baby what do you expect. Take it easy on yourself. What matters is that you do it right. Start with walking and yoga. Strengthen your inner core first and then the rest will follow. Relax and enjoy your family.

I know...I hate having a belly. A belly band will squeeze everything in, if your looking for support and for looking a little better. I don't think they actually cause it to shrink faster. You might also do a nursing tank that's stretchy. That should help your belly feel more "sucked in." It will probably take awhile to get things back to normal, so if it will help you feel better about yourself, I think the extra money is worth it if you can afford it.

I'd save your money. The belly bands do not work...or at least didn't with me after my first. It seemed to just hold the belly up. I didn't use it with my second. It takes a few months for your uterus to shrink back. Remember it took 9 months to get your belly all stretched out and everything...give yourself at least that long to get it shrunken back. It's always harder with each new pregnancy...you're older and your body has been through all this stress before.

Did you have a c-section? If so use the band it really does help with discomfort. I used it after my c's and helped a lot. I have 5 kids and one more on the way and with each one it a little longer for the uterus to adjust back. especially if the kids are close together. Good Luck!

My third did this to me too. You would have thought I had a 12 pound baby and one still on the way. It took a few months but it did go back to normal. I am not going to lie, it took a bit more work than the other two but it finally paid off.

Don't worry and good luck!
