Playgroup in Troy Area?

faith lutheran church on dequindre norht of 16 has MOPs (mothers of preschoolers) they meet twice a month on tuesdays morning. I think ther is a small fee.The baby can stay with you or go to childcare.

YWCA at crooks and normandy in royal oak has a mom club that meets one day a week. I think they meet on Thursday mornings.

The baby is a bit young.. but centerline schools has a playgroup that meets Tuesday or Thursday mornings ###-###-####. Ther are about 10 kids in each group. The centerline groups meets at 10 mile and ryan in warren. The cost is $ 20 per month.

The birmingham library has baby story times for 0-18 months.. It is great.. a great way to get the baby around other babies and meet other moms. The librarian is excellent and the room is fabulous. It is free.!!

Troy library has soem baby programs but they are terrible.

I also belong to the MOMS Club of Madison Heights and a lot of our members live in Troy (some in Hazel Park as well). It's a great group of moms and there are a TON of babies in our group, so you can meet moms with kids who are similar in age to your son.

Troy First United Methodist church is starting a moms/kids playgroup I think it the first wednesday of each month. They oare on livernois between south boulevard and square lake. here is the phone number to the church they can tell you the exact times ###-###-####

I live in Troy also and belong to the Madison Heights Moms Club, which includes Troy and Hazel Park. It is a wonderful group of women with children of all ages. We have different activities and playgroups almost everyday of the week and at different times of the day as well, so you have a choice of things to do.

I've hunted for a group in Troy since my son was about 6 months, he is 4 now, and this is the only one that has lasted and I truly enjoy going to.

I've heard Kensington Community Church in Troy has a Moms group that meets weekly. You don't have to be a member there to attend.. the person I met that goes to the mom's group is not a member.

You could also look at www.oaklandcountymoms.com sometimes they have people listed looking for playdates.

The Auburn Hills Library has excellent programs too for kids.. you have to call ahead and register.
