I recently had surgery with Dr Levy at Texas Sports Medicine in Frisco (had to go to Dallas for the surgery) but my husband has also had surgery with another Dr in that practice. They each have a specialty so I'm not sure who would do backs but we have been very happy with the practice in general. They do all of the Dallas Mavericks and Stars too :)

This morning my husband was at hospital for ruptured discs and the Dr we worked with at Baylor Frisco said Dr Loyola is the best out there in his opinion.

Let me recommend my neurosurgeon who is conservative and will try everything else before surgery. His name is Michael Musacchio of the Center for Spine Care. http://www.centerforspinecare.com/ I did have to have a spinal fusion. It only took 2 hours, and I was up and around the next day. Having had spinal surgery before, it was amazing! He does have a member of his team that handles pain management, so they will go that route before doing surgery. I can't say enough about how caring his staff was too! A herniated disc isn't something you want to wait on getting taken care of. My best wishes to your husband!

They are located on Plano Parkway between Preston and North Dallas Tollway. I believe they have a satelitte office in Frisco.

They also have Allen Therapy Center which is at Alma/McDermott.

This group of Dr.'s are excellent. We've seen everyone of them for one reason or another. My family has seen Dr. Sutker several times... many Dr's would prefer o rush you into surgery then off to PT. Not this group, they see surgery as a last resort if something can't be improved with PT and alternatives.

So, if you are looking for someone to do a quick surgery ,they are a no go.

My husband was in a bad car accident with torn rotator cuff. Sutker got him back without surgery and hubby is back to semi pro golf level again.

Check out the website and see if they might work for you.

Good luck.
