One Year Old Gift Ideas

My youngest daughter will be turning one early June. She is very different from my older one who loved to sit and look at books. She is more interactive and is really good at figuring out cause and effect. Any ideas would be awesome. I love to read to my kids but they both don't seem interested (older one is 3 now).

She already has crib toys that light up, piano toy, and a musical table and mini toy car. (geeez...spoiled already, maybe she doesn't need any toys for her bday!!)

What can I do next?

My son received a wagon filled with Mega Blocks and extras for his first birthday and by far, it was the most used item ever purchased for him. Early, he had fun dumping the wagon and filling it with blocks, repeat, repeat, repeat lol. Not too long later he actually enjoyed buliding with the blocks, pulling the wagon etc.

Blocks and building toys are fantastic, especially for someone who is interested in cause and effect. My daughter loves to build with blocks. For her first bday and xmas (just a few weeks later), she also got a a See & Say with different animal noises and a cute ladybug toy that teaches shapes, colors, numbers, etc.

Also, I sell Discovery Toys and we just came out with a brand new line this week! There are some very fun, very exciting toys that I think your daughter will love. Check out my page at www.discoverytoyslink.com/karenchao Some of my favorites for this age group are Castle Marbleworks, Hammer Away, Keyboard Kylie, Measure Up Cups, Block It, and Go Go Caterpillar.

Well, does she have her own toddler dishes? Snack cup? Does she need new clothes? Does she have a ball popper toy (Fisher Price, I think)? Does she like music? Do you need labels for any of her new toddler gear (mabelslabels.com)? What about an outing? For DD's first birthday, we took her to the zoo.
