I am new to the DFW area living in Southlake and I need to find a good OB GYN. I have read some other referal requests and a lot of them said they have to wait 2 hours?! Are you kidding me?! I don't want to go to an office that over crowded, I don't have the time to wait two hours to see a doctor to basically check my cervic and blood pressure once a month...I know they do more then that, but you know what i mean...you are usually in with the actual doctor for 5 minutes for most of the visits.
I also have had some complications in my last two pregnancies so I need a doctor that listens and doesn't rush me through the appointment.
I do not care if its male or female. A male doctor delivered both my boys and was my OB since I was 16 so I don't have any issues with that.
Any guidance or direction with were I can find a good doc to care for me an my unborn baby would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies!!!

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

I just had my 2nd baby in July and was delivered by Dr. Michael White. He is a great dr and great person. He has two offices, one in Keller off of 1709 and one in the Baylor Grapevine Hospital which is also where he delivers. Baylor is a great hospital, too, by the way. I never had to wait long for an appointment nor did I wait long in the waiting room. He never rushed me through and appointment and was always patient and let me ask all the questions I needed. His office is organized and the staff is great. His office # is ###-###-#### and that is for both offices.
Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am an OB nurse at Baylor Grapevine and don't like to mention names publicly on this forum - but I would be happy to make some reccomendations if you private message me.

Dr. Troy New! He is awesome. He has great bedside manner, answers all my questions thoroughly and has a way of putting me at ease. His office is well run. There is never a long wait. He is located at Baylor Grapevine. He delivered my son (high risk pregnancy), took care of me through 2 miscarriages and a D&C. My mom and my aunt also go to him. He did their hysterectomys. He has 2 associates and the only time I saw them was when I was in the hospital or for emergency phone calls. Love him!

This may be a little too far for you to travel, but I adore Dr. Tovar with North Texas OBGYN. In Lewisville and Flower Mound (two locations). He has been in practice for like 30 years, but he keeps so up to date on everything and he is just a great doctor. I never wait for my appointments.
