My bff and her fiance of 10 years are finally getting married. They have a 7 yr old son already and another baby on the way so I guess they are doing things a little backwards but thats ok lol. I am throwing her a bachelorette party and I would like some fun ideas that are "non-conventional" and also don't center around drinking and partying but at the same time are also fun for her non-prego friends. Anyone have any good ideas?
We went to a drag show for my bachelorette party. I may be biased, but it was hands down the best bach party I had been to. lol My girl friends still talk about it being more fun than their own bachelorette parties were. haha It was a BLAST. :)
You should do something elegant like go to a tea house or spa and then afterwards (later that night) surprise her with an adult toy party. My sis just had one for her friend who was getting married (all under 21 girls) and it was pretty funny! Plus most of them also sell tons of lotions, body washes, and fun things that are more practical and less embarrasing to buy! lol She can enjoy other "sinful" treats besides alcohol like chocolate covered strawberries or cupcakes!! Have fun!!
I like the spa idea. Some spas cater to parties and will serve wine as well. A night on the town like to a dueling piano bar. Can also do a dinner theater show.
How about a geocache-ing adventure? Or a scavenger hunt for the group?
Spas are great also if you pear it with goign to a english tea house for afternoon tea, that could be fun. We have one here and the afternoon tea is the best. You get 2 pots of tea (usuallu your choice) and 3 tiers of yummy food. 1st tier is sandwiches, 2nd is scones, and 3rd is desserts. Very fun and you can dress up and wear hats.
This was a little weird but we actually ended up having a good time. We each had to wear a wig, and create a persona. We went to the XXX store and had some laughs, out to a bar&grill (we ended up saying it was someones birthday and got a free sundae) and later a strip club. It was funny just trying to keep up the fake identity. I also went to one wear it was 80's themed which was pretty cool.
I just had an adult toy party w/ my M. friends and it was so so much fun. you never know what they will like and it is good for at least a bunch of laughs! I use athenas but I know there are a lot of other companies. have fun!
Perhaps a local spa might have some ideas? A pamper party would be lovely :)
