ok, so my boss, who i work for 2 days a week while my son is in school, is the best. She is more a friend than a boss. In the few short months I have worked there I have become part of the family. My whole family has. We spend Thanksgiving with them and there are many days that I take my son there while i do work. Problem is I have ZERO idea what to get them (she and her husband) for Christmas. They have everything you could think of and they also have a ton of friends, so I am sure everyone has gotten them great gifts over the years. I am looking to spend $50-75. I want it to be thoughtful, she is so thoughtful and sweet. Any ideas? Gifts you've gotten or given? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I don't know if they like fruit or not, but what about one of those edible arrangements-beautiful boquets of fruit that look like flowers? Maybe a wine and cheese basket? Offer to watch their kids for the weekend while they take time away? Massage or facials for hubby and wife? Those are some things I would like to recieve and I think they would love it!

A GREAT bottle of wine or champagne.

My SIL makes doilies and I love it when she sends something she made to us. It is treasured.

I like to receive holiday items such as a nice tree ornament, dish of some sort, etc.

Good luck!

What about personalized stationery? That's a nice gift that is a creative idea. Or what about a gift certificate for a restaurant?

Do you have a flower arrangement of the month type of place? This is something that they could enjoy all year and not likely something they would buy themselves.

I am a fan of photos. One year, I did not know what to get my cousin since she also has everything...so I took her 2 kids to Sears and got a professional photo taken of them...you would think I had given her a million dollars. She absolutely loved the gift and still has it hanging on her wall 5 years later.

While I realize you can't take your boss' kids...if you could create a scrapbook for her of family photos...that would be nice. We as working moms always say how we're gonna take the time to put our digital pics in an album but never have the time to follow through...it would be really nice if someone did it for us! Plus you can get them a really nice album to hold the pictures...would look great on their coffee table or a book shelf.

How about a gift certificate to a restaurant or an Edible Arrangement (if they have those in NJ) or a few bottles of wine.

Restaurant gift cards are always nice. Or tickets to go see a movie. Or theater tickets for any plays or concerts in your area.

How about a fruit of the month club from Harry and David? Or a Tower of Treats? I always like getting them and the tower is good to have or serve during the holidays when a lot of people visit.

Or, if they truly do have everything, what about a charitable donation in their name? Take a look at Heifer International. They are a charitable organization that helps people and communities help themselves, instead of just donating to give them things. It is a great organization. Just some thoughts. Merry Christmas!

I like a nice bottle of wine with a gift card to a byob restaurant, do you know of where they like to go? You could do 50.00 toward the meal and the rest on the wine.
