Dr. Epply at Eye Associates NW. (www.eyeassociatesnw.com I think). He worke out of their Kirkland and Seattle offices. We've been seeing him for several years, and he is great with the kids plus answers all my questions.
I need a good Eye Doctor on the Eastside or even Seattle to bring a one year old.
She may have lazy eye, and or what is called jaw wink syndrome. We would like to get a base line to head off any problems that may a raise.

Hi N.,
I agree with Jean and Lynn. My son sees Dr. Janet Barrall (yes it is Barrall, not Barrel) at the Issaquah Virginia Mason clinic. The address is 100 NE Gilman Blvd. in Issaquah. It is right behind the Triple X Root beer restaurant.
Dr. Barrall is the best! My son has two issues with his eyes. Crossing (infantile esotropia) and rotary nystagmus (involuntary movement of is eyes in a rotary motion). He is now two years old and has seen Dr. Barrall since he was 4 months old. She is fantastic and really knows her stuff. We have been through surgery, patching and now glasses. I really like Dr. Barrall because she is great with kids and she is willing to admit when she is stumped. At one point she was not sure of her diagnosis because my son was so young and it was hard to determine what was going on with his eyes as well as the correct prescription for his glasses. She sent us down to one of her colleagues in Portland, Oregon to the Casey Eye Institute for a second opinion. Turns out she was correct all along, but I really appreciated her being willing to suggest that we see someone else to make sure.
I really cannot say enough good things about her.

Hello, my daughter has been going to see Dr. Janet Barrel in Issaquah for the past 6 years, she is 7 1/2 now. She has lazy eye and has had one surgery. She practices out of Virgina Mason, ###-###-#### and is awesome with the children.
Good luck.
Hi,
My daughter goes to a wonderful pediatric eye doctor in Bellevue that I highly recommend. His name is Dr. Melvin Carlson and he's with Puget Sound Eye Care. They also have an office in Seattle that he works out of also. My daughter is now 16 months old and started seeing him when she 6 months old. She had strabismus (crossed eyes) and had corrective surgery in December. Her eyes are doing wonderfully and we continue to see him for check ups. I've been really pleased with him and he's wonderful with children.
Dr Janet Barrel, she is with Virginia Mason in Issaquah. My daughters eye crossed and her vision was 20/200. After glasses and patching for 2 years they were able to do eye surgery and now she has 20/25 vision. Dr Barrel is a very good Dr. Here # is ###-###-####.
Dr. Sahota, works with Dr. Thomas Lenart, in Redmond. My 2 year old started going to her and she is great.
I would not recommend Dr. Thomas Lenart in Redmond. We had been going to that office since my son was 2 for an eye problem he was born with. We stopped about age 13. He then developed the same problem in his other eye. When we went back, Dr. Lenart's first question was "Have I
seen you before." Did not even indicate that he knew about my son's current problem. Stay Away!
