If you are concerned or have questions about it, your best option is to see your Dr.

We have no way to tell you what it is or is it, normal or not.

See the Dr.

It doesn't sound like an emergency, but I'd give the doctor a call during regular business hours. See if you can take a decent photo of it and then email it to the pediatrician/nurse. They may be able to give you an idea without you going in.

Different people heal and scar differently. It may be nothing that needs to be addressed, but you'll feel better if you rule out anything more concerning and find out what your options are.

I'd keep an eye on it and ask next time you take him in. If it worsens (red, size, heat, etc.) take him in sooner. Same with if it becomes painful. Take a picture now, and then you have something to compare it to.

We've had a lot of cuts and stitches here - I haven't personally seen this.

If the scar has a bump in the line it might be a drop of glue that dried inside or something. If he'd have had stitches I'd say it was a piece of the thread that didn't come out and his body had attacked it and sealed it off where it can't do anything.

If you take your kiddo to the doc for other stuff I would ask then. I don't know if I'd make a special appointment just for that.

If it's hot or red or hurts him then I'd do the appointment.

An ingrown hair maybe?
Sure talk to the doctor but it's probably nothing to worry about.
