Hi A., I am new to this site but have read about some of the problems that you are having. I am 35 and I suffer from MS. It is not the same as what you were diagnosed with but I do suffer from some of the same symptoms. I also suffer from depression (I don't know if this is from the MS or from issues that stemmed from early childhood or hereditary issues). I have three lesions on my brain and two in my spine. The pain is so bad at times that I can't even get out of bed. I have to have help walking at times and I am constantly off balance as well. I have two wonderful teenage children and a wonderful husband of 20 years. I can't get him to talk to me about what is going on or what the future will be like, but I have heard that he has talked to his friends about it when he goes out. This has changed our lives drastically because I am limited in what I can do and I can't work, I recently lost my job because they thought that I was on drugs or drinking when I went to work because I would start to slur my words or side step when walking. These are symptoms of MS but I couldn't get them to understand that. What makes everything worse is I think my family is in denial even after two years. To this day, my entire family, even my mother who lives with me, has to walk out of the room when I give myself my shot. I know what it feels like to be lonely and not be able to talk to anyone about it. Had it not been for my family, I think I would have given up and into the pain a long time ago. Anyway, I just want to let you know that I too am in pain everyday all day long and I honestly do know what it is like. I wanted you to know that you can email me anytime you want to talk. I also have an MSN account for chatting as well as AIM.

Sincerely,
T.

A., I know some of what you are going though. Eight years ago I had my second child. It was a very difficult birth,he was born face up. Since then I have been in almost constant pain.My spine, and all of my magor joints cause me alot of pain.I also get tired pretty easily.I went to a rheumatologist when it all first started and they basically said that they did'nt know what it was.Just recently, eight years later I went back to the Dr. and said look,I feel like I am going crazy.Know one has been able to figure out what the problem is.Something IS WRONG! Well,he diagnosed me with Fybromialgia.
Thank god,I finally had a diagnosis. But as you know there is no cure for my illness. I also don't have that much support from my husband or his family.I think they fell I am just a hypocondriac!!

A.,

I have a non-specific auto-immune condition, akin to a mix of Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've been through the rounds of doctors, the tests, the medication trials, and that feeling of hopelessness that the pain will NEVER go away. I understand that it's not the severity, but the duration of pain that beats you down. Send me an email, ____@____.com, and we'll chat. I'm pretty much symptom free now most of the time, thanks to a great med, and a really awesome doctor.

Dear Mother in pain;

I've been where you are! God has delivered me from the hands of death with this particular sickness.
Best I can tell you is "advice is not advice if its not taken"

What I did to become FREE!
I fasted & prayed - according to the Word of GOd - Mr 9:29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. I was so dead that I fell on my knees and gave my life (what was left of it) to God.

From that point on I listen to the Holy SPirits instruction DOctors had no clue and were just trying different med on me while I was wasting away waiting for what to do next. Next they told me I had MS That's when I drew the line!
Here was my Divine rememdy!
Stop taking the perscription meds
I detoxed (herbal detox pills)
I drank nothing but filtered water, Orange Juice, Grape Juice and apple juice. (Breakfast, lunch - Snacks & Dinner)
I slept, as much as needed to realignn my brain to repair.
My exercise were to walk from room to room on my own until I was literally wiped out.
After 2 week I was able to hold a plactic cup.
I then contacted (Holy SPirit Guided) Karen Savoy Martin of Be-Fit & SLim (web site = www.befitandslim.com) Told her exactly what I was diagnosed with and her response was not what I expected it to be after she told me what to take and get back to her in two weeks to let her know How i was feeling. At which time I began to regain my life back.

With everything I followed it to the T
I had not informed my doctors at this point and wanted to wait for results. (cannot take perscription med and herbal meds at the same time) This will cause worse damege.

today You would never know that I have Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Sjrogens Syndrome, Osteoarthritus, etc

Hope this helps
Feel fee to email me personnaly for more if needed!
REmember advice is not advice if its not taken -
I have a great Arthritus & Pain Doctor : Johnathan Adelson
Greentbelt MD - with John Hopkins

I have also progressed to deep water aerobics it makes my body feel great I rest afterwards

I now only drink filtered water, eat lost of fresh fruits, green salads, no red meat, no crabs, shrimp or lobster but i eat a lot of fish (salmon)

I sugar intake is practically null & void
I just focus on what I eat more the I used to

Email be back for some one-on-one support if needed!

Have you been tested for Lyme Disease. And I don't mean just a simple blood test, because Lyme doesn't live in the blood it lives in the tissue so it's very hard to get a positive blood test but the doctors won't tell you that. You have a lot of the symptoms that I have also. I've had Lyme for 6 years and it took 3 years before getting properly diagnosed. My husband and oldest daughter also have it. So I can understand what you're going through. I also have 4 children, was in a wheelchair for 2 years and beddridden alot of the time. Lyme disease mimics lupus, fibromyalgia, MS, and many other illnesses. I urge you to seek out a Lyme Disease Doctor and get properly tested. You may just need the right medication to heal you. Let me know if you want the names of any Lyme doctors because they are hard to find. P.

I am sorry to hear that you are in a great deal of pain and I can not provide support in the way you are seeking. I am lucky to know nothing about it. I did receive an email today that said "If God leads me to it, God will lead me through it". I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I don't know anything about what you are going through but I want you to know that I have an ear for you anytime, anyday. If I were to be going through what you are going through...I don't think I'd be as strong as you are right now. I am 37 and I just had my first baby boy...he is 16 months right now... God Bless you...I will pray to my saint...Padre Pio...who cured my son from Cerebelitus 4 months ago...if you take one day and go up to Padre Pio's Center in Barto Pennsylvania...it will be the best thing you have ever done in your life...ask him to help you...and he will!!

Good luck with everything

Most people don't know anything about either one of them. I'm married and have a 51/2 yr old. It's soooo hard. It does get very depressing sometimes. Hi--I just had to write you a note to let you know that my heart goes out to you and your suffering. Five years ago, I was a pedestrian hit by a car--I 'Broke my whole body" (to quote the doctor) and have chronic pain as a result. You are already doing what I have found to be the best treatment, surrounding yourself with loving, supportive people and reaching out when in need. Know that you are in my prayers and I truly hope you find relief from your pain.

Hi, You are obviously a woman with a strong spirit and a good heart. Your pain and the grace with which you carry it are a testimony to your character.

I have been helping a friend with two children who has brain cancer and all the horrofic problems which come it. I can only tell you that she is the strongest woman I know. Her only concerns are for her children. She did tell me that she got comfort from meditation and prayer. There are support groups that your hospital can recommend and there are also lupus organizations that you contact via the internet. There are others with your problems and they would welcome you into their circle.

Please search the net for these organizations.

My prayers are with you.

A.~ I know from experience Lupus can be very painful and cause depression. My mom has had lupus for about 25 years and had to 'deal' with it while my brother and I were young. Just know there's a lot you can do to manage the pain. Some things I wish my own mother would do!!! For instance, as painful as it may be...keep active w/very low impact workouts...ie walking in a pool, or walking a track (no running, of course), light weight training...and so on. I'm sure this is easy for me to say, since I'm not the one suffering w/Lupus and all that comes w/it, but I have heard this helps. You need to find a good rheumatologist, one that knows his/her stuff and one that is very compassionate. the best care my mom got was when she went to a "teaching facility" (WVU) doctor. They are willing to try new treatments and because they are working w/students hopefully they're teaching empathy.

Hang in there!! I'm sure if you're very persistent w/your doctors something will happen for the best. If not find new doctors until someone listens to you. Unless they've been affected by this disease in some way they truly have NO idea how to treat it!

Good Luck! T.
