I was wondering where your children attend preschool? How far is the preschool from your house? Is it out of the way for you. How convenient is the drive? Are you noticing if most of the preschools have waiting lists?

I'm thinking about a new preschool business and was wondering about a great location.

Any opinions wouold be greatly appreciated.

My child this year goes to St Thomas Aquanis in New Port Richey and next year she will go to Hope N Play in New Port Richey also. We live in Ballantrae which is Land O'Lakes, but is on 54 near the suncoast so primrose area is almost just as far as NPR for us.

I too live in Land O' Lakes off of Collier Parkway. I take my 5 year old to St. Timothy Catholic Preschool off of VanDyke. I LOVE it there. The drive is o.k. It takes me about 15 minutes each way. The cost is $265 for 3 1/2 hours each day and 5 days a week. For that amount it makes the drive worth while. I've lived in Land O' Lakes since I was 8 and I guess I'm used to having to drive to do anything. When I moved here there was only the McDonalds and U-Save, which is now Big Lots. I plan on taking my 3 year old daughter to St. Timothy's too when she turns 4. That is, if I can get her in!

Good Luck!

We have our daughter at Primrose in Tampa Palms and up until this point it has ben fabulous. I'm just not sure how the 2 yrd old room is going to work - for various reasons. I have just started looking, so I don't know about waiting lists. I do know that Bright Horizons hr don't work for us - 7am-6pm.

My four-year-old goes to Primrose on Lutz Lake Fern, three miles from my home near the intersection of Dale Mabry and Lutz Lake Fern. You have tremendous opportunity in your area. As you know, there is endless homebuilding activity on 41 between 54 and 52. Between Wilderness Lake Preserve, Connerton, and all of the smaller communities on the west side of 41, there is and will continue to be more and more demand for quality childcare. There were 2,936 housing starts in the second half of 2005 along the SR 54 corridor in Pasco County (I do marketing for a homebuilder). Feel free to write back if you're interested in any more info on growth in the area -- I can probably access it for you.

Go for it!

I live in Dade City but work in Tampa. I send my 2 year-old to Primrose School of Tampa Palms. I do not know anything about the waiting list now, but when he started last August, I waited 2 to 3 weeks. There are other Primrose schools, and even one on Land o Lakes. I really love the one in Tampa Palms. My son turned 2 in December and he knows colors, shapes, and some of the alphabet. Every week he names objects that I know I did not teach him. It is defintely more of a school than a daycare. He loves it too. Good luck!
