Looking for "Stain-Masters" - Laundry Issues

I read a tip on here (which I haven't had a chance to confirm whether it works or not) to do laundry with aspirin tablets to whiten the whites. ??

Since it's been a while, maybe you can let me know what works for you? I have a couple of shirts I'd like to revive myself.

Perspiration Stains
After wearing a garment for the first time, prior to laundering, work in some warm water and Fels Naptha® Laundry Bar Soap, available in the bar soap section of your local supermarket (usually on the bottom shelf, or in the laundry additives section), into the underarm area. This will prevent the yellow stains from forming.

If you have a garment that has only been worn once and odor is present, apply warm water to the area and work in 20 Mule Team® Borax, which is a very effective odor remover.

If you already have stains, try dampening the fabric with warm water and working in laundry detergent and Biz Activated Non-Chlorine Bleach. Allow this mixture to soak into your garment about 30 minutes prior to laundering. You can also try heated white vinegar on existing stains. Spray it on the fabric, then work in 20 Mule Team® Borax. This is very effective on any odor or stain that might be present. If the color has changed in the fabric, try spraying with sudsy ammonia, let it sit about 15 minutes, then launder as usual.

Have you tried white distilled vinegar? The stains are from the reaction of the deodorant/anti-perspirant he uses and the material in the clothes. He can try a more natural deodorant (like a crystal stick) - the body needs to sweat to release toxins, so if he is sweating anyway, what he is using doesn't work.

White distilled vinegar from the grocery store or you kitchen cabinet will often remove the salt stains without the discoloration of commercial stain removers.

I love felsnaptha I heard about this product a long time ago on Oprah and I use to pretreat all my stains and it takes just about anything out. Its great. Its a very old laundry soap and you can find it on line and sometimes just at your local groceries store. Its a bar soap I keep many on hand for my kids. I have a 6 year old boy who is alway dirty and a 9year old daughter. Of course I always have some kind of stain on my clothes as well.

the laundry stuff shout spray works really well with stanis, just make sure to soak up the stain with the shout, and let it sit for maybe like 2 min then throw it in the wash.

Viniger will do the trick. Pour on whole area and let sit for say 10 min? maybe not that long??? anyway wont pull the colour from the shirt and than wash as normal. the smell will come out in the wash. Let me know how you get on. Works for me every time- oh ya- use white viniger.

I have found the SOILOVE works on all stains. It is inexpensive and found at FRY'S. In the laundry section. It is in a small green bottle with a heart on it. I goes against my "All Natural" approach but for spot cleanning and stains, it rocks!!

I tried everything. The only thing that i found to work for my husband's white shirts was exposing the armpits in the sun. it may take a couple of days but it saved me from throwing them out!

hi the queen of clean suggests baking soda with water into a paste rub on stain let sit 5 min then launder as usual i have tried it and it worked some of the time and some of the time it did not. good luck

try soaking them in oxy clean.

I overheard a remedy one day when I had Sonoran Living on TV. I was doing housework and wasn't actually watching it. I remember them talking about vinegar. If you go to the sonoranliving.com website, you may be able to find it.
