It looks like you already have several suggestions to choose from, but I'll throw in my two cents. My stylist is Carol Lieberstein at Michelangelo Hair House in Woodland Hills ###-###-####, 19710 Ventura Blvd.). She does amazing cuts and beautiful color--I've been going to her for years. I trust her to give me cuts that look fabulous even when I have no time to style them at all, and she always does! (Right now I am wearing my hair very short with blond highlights, and I have gotten so many compliments from her excellent work.) I don't know what your budget is, but I consider her to be worth every penny.

My stylist in Beverly Hills has been giving me great short haircuts for years. I don't let anybody else even think about touching my hair. She is also known as an excellent colorist, but I'm brunette and don't have the patience (or need yet) to play with color, so I can't share any personal experience with her coloring, except to say that everybody I've ever seen walk out of that shop looks terrific. Not sure where you are, but...Corrie at Bakerloo Salon in Carlsbad is phenomenal. I had pretty high expectations coming from LA and was greatly impressed. She does killer blonde highlights and excellent cuts; very trendy. Love it! It's also easy to get in to see her--a huge plus for us crazy moms!

I was also looking for someone closer since having my little guy because of the time window I now deal with breastfeeding. I found someone who is great! She is the manager of Carlton Hair in the Burbank Town Center, Katrina. She won't be the chatty, hang out with the girls type but man can she cut hair! I had her do a layered longer cut on me with blond highlights and got EXACTLY what I asked for which is rare! I will say it again...the woman is talented! Good luck....

I was a hair stylist, but got seriously injured in my neck and shoulders , which has held me back from working in the field!! Which is very frustrating & upsetting, but I know everything happens for a reason! I now have an almost 15 months old daughter, which I never thought my neck/back would allow, without excruciating pain! I recently moved from Northridge, CA. to Oxford, OH...but I still get this blog...and happened to read your request for a great hairdresser. When in Northridge I saw Alfred at Profiles Salon. I have been gone for a year and haven't had anything professionally done to my hair - I miss him dearly! The salon is average in price (so not cheap), but Alfred is a master colorist...please tell him I said hello if you go! and goodluck...I do not trust my hair to many people, especially when it comes to color.

i'm not sure exactly where you are located as you didn't mention that , but if you are anywhere near the city of lakewood, i recommend Reggies Hairstyling salon in the lakewood mall and look for teresa llanes. she is great with all kinds of cuts and highlighting. She herself sports the same kind of hairstyle as what you are talking about.i have recommended a lot of friends and co workers to her and so far they all love her work and has kept her since. hope this helps.
