so, my daughters first birthday is coming up soon, and since we are relatively new to the area, we dont know anybody besides my husbands parents and a few single people without kids, which kinda makes a birthdayparty unneccesary. so i was thinking we could take her out somewhere where she could really have a blast. does anyone know of an amusementpark, waterpark, play...whatever where a little 12month old could spend her first birthday?

My son's was at the Exploritorium in Skokie. I enjoyed it! They have a large indoor play lot with large slides and it doesn't have an age limit!! Some of our guests and myself included enjoyed playing on it.

Kiddie Land, on the corner of 1st. Ave. & North Ave. in River Grove. I don't know what town you live in to give you something nearby but Kiddie Land is good for little kids. I've been going there since I was little. Call me if you need directions ###-###-####.

Hey M. ,

Im not sure what area you live in but what about the Kohls Childrens museum at Navy Pier , you and the family can go on a water taxi then take the birthday girl to the museum which she should love or go on a bike ride in one of those 8 seaters bikes they rent there at the Pier . There is alot for everyone to do there . I hope this help

We took our daughter to the Shedd Aquarium for her first birthday and we al had a good time. It was her first time at a venue like that and she loved it. We then headed downtown for pizza at Uno's. It was also her first spinach deep dish and she loved that too. It was a fun day and I would highly recommend it. You should still have a little party for her even if it's just your immediate family. Every kid needs a cake on their birthday and it will be great pix for the baby book.
Have fun!
