So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I will definitely keep them in mind when looking for family activities. We ended up going to Bogus for some hiking and to get out of the heat one day and another day we went to Zoo Boise. Thanks again.

Lucky Peak, Zoo Boise, The Rose Garden and Julia Davis Park (you can rent paddle boats there, and you can can baby too!), hike Table Rock, Bike Ride on the Green Belt, Shopping at Eagle Road and then Costa Vida (REALLY good Mexican across from Kohls) for lunch or dinner, Farmer's Market on Saturday Morning...

Go to IvyWild swimming pool. It's so fun! The kiddie pool is really warm and fun for kids.
If you want to drive out to Meridian, you can go to Settler's Park (Ustick and Meridian Rd). It has a fun playground and a splash pad where your daughter can run in the spraying water fountains. Wear shorts or swimsuits yourselves and join in!
We love to walk on the Greenbelt, we've wanted to go swim below the Lucky Peak dam, and go to the zoo.
My husband likes to take our boys to Cabella's to look at the animals. We also like to go to the lagoon at the end of Julia Davis park to feed the geese and ducks. Take LOTS of cheap or freezer-burned bread! For a date one night, we walked around downtown. I couldn't tell you what crossroads, but there was a pamphlet outlining a walking tour of town. It had a map showing all the outdoor art exhibits, parks, and also some historical things. We wore ourselves out, but it was really fun! I bet your daughter would love riding in a stroller to see it all.
Ann Morrison Park has some fun places to see the river, and ramps to go into it. That could be fun to feel how cold it is. There's a fountain there that kids play in, too. There are signs everywhere to not feed the geese, though. The playground is fun. We've taken a picnic dinner there and it was fun.
Gee, most of my ideas are free. I must be cheap! :)

We love to go to the river at Lucky Peak/Discovery Park. It is a nice bike ride to get out there and perfect for picnicking and my 20 month old loves to get in the flat part of the river.

The zoo is another favorite, as is Municipal park (very shaded).

Saturday farmer's market is fun, but very crowded. You can also go pick berries in Nampa.

We like to eat at the Red Robin on Park Center as it is kid friendly and then feed the ducks on the pond right there.

Hope you find something fun to do, and please share what worked out so we can try it.

My daughter loves the Nature Center at Municipal Park. Once week we pack a lunch, walk to the green belt to the park, eat, play and look at the gardens and fish. She never gets tired of it. We also enjoy the zoo, paddle boats, Discovery Center and all the parks!! The fair is starting on the 15th, which is always fun...family day is on Monday(no smoking or drinking).

Hi! My family and I (I have three, 5,3,and 2) we go to eagle island for a day. It is $4.00 to get in, and you can bring n your own food, or whatever. My three love playing in the water, and I think it would be good for you to try. Have fun.
